” Samsung used to have a 29% market share in this category, but that figure now stands at 18% — and it doesn't take a genius to figure out who captured that share. Apple went from 63% to 79% in the same period; the brand utterly dominates this category. It's no wonder that it saw a record-breaking quarter in Q4 2021.”

This is why we see most people sticking to Android except for in US which has very little choice

Android world failed to provide that. iOS has succeeded in providing them excluding not having inbuilt call recording. I hope you are clear now.

I don't think that it's about priorities; it's about expectation. You need to lower your expectation or you'll be disappointed regardless of what smartphone you use. Totally nothing to do with fact that some actually want iOS, mostly because of how long Apple supports it, making their devices with longest active support. iOS is also uniform across ALL Apple phones and is one of most rugged and reliable OS long term. I've never ever had a single Android phone that would work like brand new after 3,5 years of use without a single factory reset. It just never ever happened as they all slowed down over time to ridiculous levels of slowness. iPhone XR still feels exactly as snappy as it did when it was brand new from the store. I kid you not, it never ever stutters or lags at anything. It's all just absolutely smooth and fluent. I'd personally take that over anything Android offers any day. I don't care about custom ROM's, sideloading of apps and just bunch of everything when most devices just don't get any updates and they just generally run terribly.

in a world with covid, faceID is much less secure in public compared to fingerprint reader. people wear masks and have to type passcode in public. this exposes the password which is not secure at all. faceID had to be backed up by touchID (or replaced) starting with iphone11 which was launched after the pandemic.

Under-display fingerprint sensor or a better telephoto camera can come IMHO in IPhone 15. I'm very relaxed at this front. Much more important will be the capabilities on the software side, meaning iOS 16. For an IPhone 14 Pro Max I demand to have a far better usage of the big screen by landscape mode in home-screens and all other iOS menue pages. I want to see apps, which can be driven in (multiple) smaller windows (where the windows size and the window position can be changed easily). Why not introducing the IPhone 14 Pro Max being capable to be controlled by a pen/stylus with writing/notes features? Why not offering a desktop mode (comparable to Samsung DeX - the A16 chip will easily handle this in one breeze!)? Why not filling all apps on a connected external monitor without black bars at the bottom & top? And speaking about hardware: Where is the USB-C port with fast transmission rates (comparable to USB 3.1)? A lot to do for Apple on the software front as well as on the hardware front, right? But especially a fingerprint sensor is personally not my highest priority.
