The performance of the steam deck is a let down barely even base ps4 performance
in 2022 really value that's rather under powered for today's games
cyberpunk 2077 on ps4 was not pretty steam deck does no matter
not ideal for aaa gaming barely even usable
The price of the steam deck twice that of a ps4
and the steam deck has much less storage i must add
I know value said are main focus is performance but clearly what they made is not in line with the power of gaming laptops of today or that of a budget gaming pc
I wish tech reviewers would stress this point performance is poor

I remember having the Gamegear back in the day and seeing my mates Atari Lynx and thinking " wow that looks like a brick" and it was, uncomfortable to use due to its weight and shape.

After seeing the reviews, I can't be more happy because I canceled my pre order for this. Just a beta device with low quality materials and a low quality screen. Nintendo managed to equip their console with an Oled and Steam chose a low IPS screen. I don't care that it's 1280x800, it's just the quality that was another deal breaker for me. This is not a mature device, it coudln't have been. I will wait for 2 or 3rd generation that will surely be mature.

I wonder why GSMArena keeps talking about this device and ignoring the Switch. When it was reported that the Switch sold over 100 million units, this website was silent. It's okay if you want to post news regarding non-mobile devices, but you shouldn't be selective.

Not quite a flop but not a roaring success either. I see it as a Gen 1 product. For starters, it's ugly, heavy and huge. Then the software/OS optimization side.
I want to like it but I don't. It is quite unique but quite niche too.

You can Buy steam deck and dock then use it as Home pc and it will be cheaper than DIY Pc.

Phones with a camera.
Touch screen phones.
Portable gaming consoles.
Foldable phones.
And to have a portable gaming PC is insane, and feels too soon honestly, justifying the price and issues.
