Twitter confirms Edit feature is under development

I think if the edit button persist only for a temporary period, so that if you think your tweet has something wrong to be corrected, then it would make more sense.

        To be honest, I really glad if Twitter NEVER have an edit button.

          The stan twts will be in a mess with the presence of this button 😭

            Omg, this is beyond science. Hahaha.
            Social media..enough said.
            I deleted all my accounts, even the work related one (like LinkedIn). Yeah, I stopped communicating with people so often and I have just few friends. But this goes to show you how shallow are relationships nowadays and how bad the influence of social media have become.

                By looking on other social platforms, edit button is not a hard thing to make.

                But twitter were trying not to add it until now

                    If they're going to add an edit button, they should also add a "post history" button too so people aren't editing their comments after they've said awful things.

                            About damn time. Of course people will say that this feature will be abused - and I agree with that, in all honesty. If they add a 'post edit history' then the feature abuse would be fixed.

                              Edit button for Twitter App is a long pending thing. But the button/option of Edit should be available only once and that too for short time of 2-3 minutes. After typing the text (tweet), if someone misspelled or omitted some word, it should be able to make changes in the same instead of deleting the whole tweet and retyping it. But this should not be like Google where one can edit comments on YouTube anytime and multiple times.
