Weekly poll: would you pick the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G over its A-series siblings?

10 April 2022
The M53 is quite similar to the Galaxy A73 5G, but it should be cheaper.

Zorvani, 10 Apr 2022I prefer A series because of longer software support. Howev... moreLonger software support is a plus, if you are planning to keep the phone more than 3 years. But how many people do that nowadays? And those who do, are usually the ones that don't care about software support, they just want a phone that works.
Not to mention, there are a lot of bad software support releases nowadays, no matter the company. Some unintentionally, others intentionally. So, is basically a lottery with software updates.

Michy, 10 Apr 2022Let's see if more interesting news about the ** Xiaomi... moreLol no. iPhone 13 Pro Max is the best phone in everything. And iPhone 14PM will take that crown.

Just like last year's 11 Ultra, 12 Ultra will also suck in software. And how many different camera sensors will they use in Ultra lineup.

        In contrast to people who are saying "I'll never buy a mid range or budget phone" , i love cheap phones . Especially when brands like Samsung , nokia really giving their attention to budget phone of good quality . ( Nokia 7 plus , x20 , 6.1 plus , 8.1 , 8.3 Samsung a22 5g , a 52s 5g ) .

If i was to buy a midrange phone rn , i'd buy A52. period . It's on 80 dollar discount in my country , despite the aged 720g it's a great deal .

But between m53 and a53 i will go for a series because it's the best of Samsung . If I'm paying this much money I'd definitely buy a quality product that lasts at least 3 years

I prefer A series because of longer software support. However it'd be better if they had some more features.

            1. Never buy anything with Exynos in it. It is just too overpriced for the segment they are launched in.
            2. Samsung is no go for low and mid range. They are just fooling people. Selling bad products at higher prices under brand name.
            3. Tbh only the phones with spen is the one which a person should buy from samsung, Also the software support for their flagships. But other than that I don't see any reason to fall for their traps.

No, because m and f series are of inferior built quality and shorter software cycle. Better go for any Chinese alternatives or bump up the budget to A series or even FE.

No thanks. My A52 is still good. Will wait for A55. Just give a powerful Snapdragon cpu and large battery.

Well since M50 and 51 came with 7000 mAh cells they were pretty interesting and had excellent endurance ratings.
M52 and M3 came with 5000 mAh cells only and A532 or A53 series also A72 and A73 series for a bit bigger price looks a lot better,
In this case bying M52 or M53 looks really stupid because for few bucks more anyone can find a lot better device in A series.

I they could have 7000 mAh cell or bigger like before it would and should make and excellent wellcoming device.
But right here, and right now we can speak only about more E-Waste.

I'm only interested in high-end flagships (no mid-range phones) that HAVE the SD card slot.
No SD card slot = No Buy!
This M53 seems to be low-end or lower mid-range phone. Very undesirable.

Any phone without OIS, is a no for me.

Let's see if more interesting news about the ** Xiaomi 12 Ultra ** begins to appear at this blog, which is the best phone to be launched for this year 2022.

They both look quite boring tbh. The A13 actually looks rather interesting with its unibody glossy plastic design. But again the A13 is too big for me

I think the A73 would be worth paying extra for, if just for the OIS. It makes a huge difference.

Why did you make reference to the SD778G? It seems out of context, as none of the phones mentioned have the chip.

I would go for the A53 out of all of those, just for the smaller size. But then I'd choose the A52s over the A53. :)
