Design from Samsung EV batteries could be adopted for smartphones to increase capacity

By at least 10%, according to one report. The new design is already being used in 5th generation batteries for electric cars.

But with more capacity, you will be charging less frequantly. Few less charges per year.

      Will this improve the battery lifespan and safety. Perhaps solid state battery will do that

          Just in time, now the S23 can see a 4000+mah battery, back to 4800mah for the S23+ and above 5000mah for the S23 Ultra

            according to this text from the article "Alternatively, phones can be made thinner and lighter while keeping battery capacity the same.", this could be very easy for the devices over 5 inches to transform to foldable. The youtuber JerryRigEverything will like those devices

              So, that would be 3630 for flip.

              Still not gonna be enough. Screen of Flip 3 is flex version of S21+.
              And 21+ has way over 4.000 mAh.

              Samsung needs to redo internals to make them smaller (motherboard etc) to allow larger battery. P50 Pocket has 4000mAh.

                Hopefully this means an actually good amount of battery inside of the z flip 3.

                a 3300 mah battery powering a top of the line chipset is going to run out of juice quite fast, so a 3800 mah one should be better.

                    Chinese OEMs should have own batteries instead of 3rd party.
                    Even Samsung can make their own.

                      Phones definitely needs flat batteries, until rollable comes out.
