First of all, I'm not Nokia fan boy or any else & currently using android.
Nokia still has their brand power, a very well known brand throughout the world, also still leading for their basic phones.
WP/Lumia is much better than their predecessor (Symbian) and all of you gotta admit that Lumia display use non reflective coating.
Even though I didn't use WP and prefer android, I also admit they have interesting OS.

Well, do your best Nokia. Release couple more dual core with 1ghz ram will do.

AnonD-59657, 24 Jan 2013Each day Nokia is struggling to survive with its Lumia on W... more"Nokia was also able to use its rich patent portfolio to fill up its coffers and it got another $250 million payment from Microsoft in the quarter for using Windows Phone." This is the reason, there is no Android on Nokia....Yet. But you may never know. :)

AnonD-59657, 24 Jan 2013Each day Nokia is struggling to survive with its Lumia on W... moreHow wrong you are! ANYONE who says Nokia should go with Android have ZERO business sense. The Android market is already too saturated. A company facing tight financial times has way too much to compete with from other companies shipping the same platform. Going with Microsoft was a smart bet, a very smart bet. They have a chance to be the leaders in WP (because they're one of the first to get into that particular market), giving them a solid possibility of making Nokia synonymous with Windows Phone, the way Samsung is synonymous with Android.

Microsoft gives Nokia 250 million dollars per quarter for using WP devices...another source of income. Also, Microsoft takes on a lot of the marketing for WP8, something Google doesn't do for Android. Although Android is open-source, for the most part, companies pay small fees to re-skin the OS AND they have to cover their own marketing. Microsoft provides funding for WP for Nokia. These are all things Elop has confirmed in interviews.

Android is too hard a platform to try to penetrate, look at LG (who is only now starting to get serious market share in Android), Sony and the many other companies struggling to make a serious name for themselves with Android. Many of those companies are in a lot better financial situations than Nokia right now. What makes you think Nokia would do any better than they if they migrated to Android? Nokia made the safe and very wise bet!

Yes, WP is a new platform, but with significant funding behind it, and with a powerhouse like Microsoft behind them, and with the ability to dominate that new platform, Nokia is taking a course of growth and easy sustainability. The growth will be slow, but the possibilities and potential to see large returns from the WP investment is undeniable.

they are working on it better now.
                Android 5 is out soon.
And nobody will be getting lag now

Just people forget google have been busy helping out Apple with their Maps lately.

Hard to believe this, supposedly lumia 920 is the main reason but who is actually buying that oversized monstrosity with its tiny battery? When i saw hands on video of 920 vs Xperia Z i was overwhelmed, the 920 is really so big (and has no reason to be big with that small battery and display), it makes Galaxy S3 look like a candidate for "Lumia 920 Mini".

Nokia will never ever adopt Android in their phones. It would be like puking right onto the dashboard of your brand new BMW.

Microsoft needs to make windows phone and windows RT into one and make NVIDIA TEGRA 4 work on them both and make deals with GAMELOFT,ELECTRONIC ART +NVIDIA TO make killer games now this will put NOKIA back ontop and Microsoft will get what they want too. WITHOUT THIS NO SHIT Android users will never cross bcos of build quality only, there is proof they buy Samsung phones. ANDROID USERS ARE MUCH. Nokia still has prospect good luck nokia .

If Nokia can offer Lumia on Android, I am very confident, it will make a huge come back!

i think android is so succesful because of the appz and its free..

if only WP can add as much as android apps have then WP will be successful as well

Actually, I think its worst days aren't behind it... It will never regain the position it had unless a huge change comes in WP or nokia adapts a different OS as well!
