Anonymous, 21 Apr 2022You are so bitter for nothing. If you don't like it do... morehe is complaining that this phone has no glass build in back 😱😱 imagine like if they put a soft case. the look is useless lol, i prefer plastic but not glossy.

Anders, 22 Apr 2022Sony offers headphone jack and Micro SD on their flagships ... morethe soc could be the culprit for that. or maybe terrible optimization.

Anonymous, 21 Apr 2022So. A rebrand of GT Neo 3?it is similar, look at the comparison

xocomaox, 21 Apr 2022This is a midrange phone.. Anyways, microSD is far slowe... moreYeah, the thing is - you have to spend ANOTHER few bucks just to have a 3.5mm jack. When, and this is a shocker - they can just INCLUDE the 3.5mm with the phone. How hard is that even to understand? You can be sick of hearing us all the time complaining about the loss of 3.5mm all you want, but it's just deliberate attempt to sell you wireless earphones or dongles to add a jack that should've been included in the first place.

I'm sorry, NOT Having an alert slider is a staple of the brand? They're the ONLY Android phones with sliders on the market!
I can't see a slider on the ace, which would be the exception!

Looks like the metal frame gone

This explains the buggy updates for old OnePlus phones. 1+ want you to buy Oneplus Ace now while your current Oneplus phones becomes unbearable to use & probably a new update will be released for your phones to enable charging 3 times in a day just to get by. Probably that's their business model how else would they make money if their phones were reliable and dependable and durable. You wonder why people still buy iPhones despite their ugly notch and Samsung despite their Exynos chips & leave all the cool features of Oxygen OS, Color OS, Realme UI, Origin OS, MIUI because these are one time ROMS which you should never update the version which comes optimized out of the box & you have to live with that. Sad indeed

bulbulito.bayagbag, 21 Apr 2022Yes but with a tamer design than the loud one on Realme. The gt neo 3 also has a pure black model with a very tame design. Frosted black glass with just a small Realme logo on the bottom left (no dare to leap)

Anonymous, 21 Apr 2022OEMs do not need to make phones thicker to have earphone ja... moreGood point. OnePlus X was 6.9mm and 138gm, aluminium frame, ridged, glass (or ceramic back). And a headphone jack. Fell 3 stories off a bar balcony onto the hood of a Mercedes S Class. Dented the car - the phone survived with a few minor grazes to the frame.

Had 3 different Samsung Galaxy S6 at I think 6.8mm, including the Edge. Headphone jack.

I believe even thinner phones had headphone jacks back in the day...

However, I don't mind using a dongle which is always attached to my wired headphones - the only exception is the handful of LG flagships that had dedicated digital to analogue converter chips, because that has to output through the jack to activate. Still have an LG G6 (Korean model) that I use as mini music player to my Razer soundbar. Astonishing hi-fi quality.

No alert slider, no buyer. Sorry. Been with OnePlus since the underrated X. Alas, OppoPlus (more like OppoMinus) = never again.

iseeboobs, 21 Apr 2022Meanwhile Samsung is smiling by only giving 25w charging and yet don't give the damn charger in the box.

xocomaox, 21 Apr 2022This is a midrange phone.. Anyways, microSD is far slowe... moreMicroSD cards were slower a decade ago, the new standards UHS II/III are very fast and are suitable for storing huge media. Even on a 128GB storage, it is very easy to run out of space, if you keep music/video/offline maps for GPS that having a 256/512GB card is very useful.

Yes. We lament the loss of 3.5mm jack because now we have to buy a DAC and carry it everywhere. Very few phones support analog audio through USB-C(Maybe only Xiaomi and few other Chinese brands). So there is a need to buy a DAC. The Apple USB-C DAC is great, but poor in durability while a durable one is also physically larger and cost around $50.

What is the need for this unnecessary complexity? The audio SOC chip that controls the mic and the speaker in the smartphone already has several redundant DACs built-in. Just the 3.5mm jack is needed which we had all along for the last 15 years. 🙄

you have to suffer, 21 Apr 2022people dont usually need those anymore. if you want sd card... moreThis is a midrange phone..

Anyways, microSD is far slower than internal memory. Most manufacturers don't want you downgrading the performance of the phone, and the MicroSD experience isn't great to begin with. It was nice when they didn't include lots of internal memory or fast memory, but we have gotten far enough to be able to get away from these cards.

And headphone jacks.. What do they think the USB-C port is for? If they want to plug headphones in, just do it! I'm so tired of hearing about people complain that their 3.5mm jack is gone like they have to buy wireless headphones all of a sudden. It's not like they'll be spending hours charging like on an iPhone. $10 adapter and they're back in business. Maybe they'll even finally buy some wireless headphones and enjoy what they have to offer?
