Kev, 23 Apr 2022I was wondering about fit. Many reviews have dragged the Cr... moreYeah fit is somewhat tight. Can be an issue for people with big heads. For me it isn't that bad. Can use up to two hours until my headache begins. Yeah it isn't for everyday usage but if you want to have your own subwoofer headphones with monster bass no any headphones are better. Also battery life and build materials are superb. I applied bass boosted equalizer mode to reduce treble and sibilance lowered dramatically. Ask me questions if any.

But if you want really monster bass you should move the slider to maximum. Yes it works with Aux cable you just need to power on the headphones.

I usually plug my headphones into my PC or phone charger. The former is 65W and the latter is 40W. In both cases, my battery is usually 10% or 20%, and after 5 minutes, the battery is at 40%, and after 20 minutes, 70%, and after an hour or less, it's fully charged. However, something worth noting is that the battery gets very hot while I charge it.

(Dankpods mentioned the bass slider, and how it doesn't work if the battery is dead.)

Daily users which hear music nice and loud every single day for several hours find 3-4 hours pretty complicated useless and obsolette.
But yes for someone like you who hear music 2 hours a week the 3-4 hours of charging time sounds like fine i mean enough.

Now it might be 800~1200 for a decent top-end phone, soon maybe 2.2k~4k for one.
One company already hit that....others will soon follow.

If you aren't an audiophile and your budget is low go for Skullcandy Crusher Evo. Much better materials and build quality. Longer battery life. Very huge bass. Only sound quality is worse than Sony. But it isn't that bad at all. Sound is pretty good. Only some songs will sound bad and sibilant.

I use the xm4s daily and the battery is the best across all devices that have batteries I own. They take so little to gain so much battery and it lasts so long. 3.5 hours is from 0 to 100 but if you do 0 to 70, it takes much much less

I'm using wh-1000m4 for almost a year and with my normal usage, I charge it once in 6 weeks (and I've never seen it drop under %15). And with this xm5 I believe it will be around 8-9 weeks.
So I couldn't care less about charging speed. I'm gonna plug it in once in 2 months and 3.5 hours is just nothing for it in my opinion.

My XM4s are still great so i see little to no point in getting these. Part of me wishes i had actually gone for the XM3s because of value for money. Its super similar headphones with some new algorithm for ANC and a face lift. Itll be a great product but if you own XM4s theres no point getting the XM5s

Really wish all over-the-ear headphones makers solved the issue of the ear zone heating and sweating. In hot countries, very difficult to wear for more than 20mins at a time.
