Sam.Smythe, 23 Apr 2022All these updates LG keeps on giving to their customers lat... moreIronically, LG only got this fast in giving updates after they exited the smartphone business. When they were still making phones, LG was consistently ranked as one of the slowest OEMs to push out updates, be it for OS or security. Before you call me a hater, I should let you know that I am still using a LG V35 as second phone and now looking for a V60 to replace it. My V35 got Android 9 and subsequent 10 almost half a year later than other OEMs. Security patches were also around once every 3 months.

their other segments are doing well...
sadly, they could have just cut their portfolio and continue developing their thinq integration for their iot appliances...
as for their phones, i guess i have to just enjoy while they last - my g4, g8, v50s and wing are still working and 3 of them still receives monthly security updates...

Haven't been the 1st commentator in a hot second. In this case i think it's cuz' the manufacturer associated with the article, "LG", is a pre-bankrupt company with a small following at best currently.

All these updates LG keeps on giving to their customers lately only strengthen the fact that their demise was because of haters (and possibly competitors' sales team) that polluted the online forums and spreading misinformation.
