The design doesn't look bad in my opinion. I think that would be a great proposal from POCO.

you have to suffer, 29 Apr 2022who would want to take a bath while using a phone? 💁💁 Never assume another culture.

I'll give you a clue to where I am from. Here, it's impolite to talk to strangers randomly, and people generally refuse to sit next to each other on the bus. So yeah. Given how incredulous foreigners were to this, I am not all surprised that using the phone in the bath is normal in Japan, another culture halfway across the globe.

joe nodden, 29 Apr 2022I thought we were done with 4/64 base models. Feel free to slap an SD card into the tray. Problem solved:)

As for the RAM situation, yeah. I remember my P30 Lite from a while ago. It wouldn't hold 3 apps open with the 4GBs of RAM it had. I expect something similar here.

I gotta say, while I enjoyed the S21 Ultra, I definitely enjoyed the Vivo X70 Pro+ and Oneplus 10 Pro more. I believe those phones are of Chinese origins.

pretty much confirms the theory that chinese have zero original thought.
poco m3 copied s21 design and now it's copying pixel.
that country will do anything but come up with their own ideas for once

This has nothing to do with cost

In Japan it's almost a must have for phones to have ip68... Because culturally they take baths with their smartphones

Rest of the world not so much

GAMIR3DH, 29 Apr 2022Why there's still notched phones in 2022?They have to cut somewhere to achieve INR13k/15k price tag.

Perhaps a cost cutting measure by using cheaper display tech as opposed to punch hole "notch" which is still technically a hole in your screen that tend to cost more. It may feel "2020-ish" and even "not in the current trend", but the panel should serve well with its FullHD+ res and standard high refresh rate. Plus, the notch might look more fitting into the budget nature of Poco M series, and definitely continuing the legacy Poco M3 left

GAMIR3DH, 29 Apr 2022Why there's still notched phones in 2022?probably its for the successor of the regular m3. but i still wonder why are they using waterdrop?

Poco m4 5g is priced similar to poco m3 pro 5g.

Notch + Dedicated micro sd slot on poco m4 5g

Punch hole + hybrid slot on poco m3 pro 5g. Looks compromised with hybrid slot

                          Ah yes the Xmeme

I thought we were done with 4/64 base models.

Xiaomi got a good job salvaging Redmi Note 11E / Redmi 10 5G, slap a refreshing back cover to look like it's an entirely new phone and call it a day.

The truth is, it's just a rebadged Redmi 10 5G already available on most global markets for around USD150-180. Don't expect high from a phone this low in the food chain.

Looking from it, wouldn't it be possible that the Redmi 10C got rebranded as Poco M4 4G?

talha5007, 29 Apr 2022I prefer flat screens. and its not the matter of price, no... moreIt is indeed a matter of price, curved screens have to be OLED and thus, they are very expensive. I disagree with the Apple part of what you had to say as well, there aren't any new android phones with a notch that big, there are plenty of android phones with periscope zoom cameras, but no iPhone, cheaper iPhones still lack high refresh rate and sometimes even 1080p resolution, which almost every android has at this point and no new iPhone has a headphone jack but a lot of Android phones still do. The only brand that removed the charger from the box after Apple did it is Samsung, no one else followed that either.

AnonD-1033007, 29 Apr 2022No, sorry. The design is absolutely terrible.Yes, that's why they called it "killer design", they knew.

Yext, 29 Apr 2022Did you expect curved screen under 200 eur?I prefer flat screens.
and its not the matter of price, now flat are trending again.
its Apple who sets the trend. and others follows, doesn't matter good trend or bad.
