Not very smart of OnePlus... Last couple years they dig they own grave 😳

fastanddubious, 30 Apr 2022Have you heard of the Pixel 6 pro? Yes, I have and would prefer that but it's not available officially where I am. I'm just saying the score is not bad, certainly not at the top level though. The main sensor score does fairly well. I wouldn't choose the phone personally as you can get last year's flagship models where I am for much cheaper and so far this year the new models from the likes of Oneplus, Oppo and Xiaomi haven't really made any significant improvements.

AnonD-1048078, 30 Apr 2022Is not necessarily a bad phone, is just that is too expensi... moreFlagship iteration is supposed to have upgrades not downgrades, this is a downgrade from OP9P!
          Inferior UW camera
No IP rating in all variants
          No Macro Mode
          No MEMC
          No laser AF
No type C to type C cable
          Poor build quality that bends
Missing 3rd Mic in Indian and Chinese variant
          Buggy software and instability.

This is a very poor buy, with such a price.

Things are not looking good for Oneplus and the upcoming $1500 10 Ultra...

oneplus is no longer worth to buy. cutting corners only worth if their phone cost 400-500 max. at current price point, it would be very stupid not to go fox xiaomi or samsung instead.

AnonD-1033007, 30 Apr 2022Damn, OP 10 Pro is literally a joke of the year lolIs not necessarily a bad phone, is just that is too expensive for what it offers. No really upgrade from OnePlus 9 Pro (and that one wasn't a super phone to begin with, especially after Android 12 update).
Also, if this is their "creme de la creme" phone for this year, I don't want to know how their mid-range phones will perform like.

At this point, I think OnePlus has 2 options:
                  1. Either they wake up and start doing the good things they have done in the past.
                  2. Or they will be lost into mainstream territory and enter fully into Oppo. At which point they will basically disappear as a brand.

They don't like Hasselblad tuning. DxoMark seems consistent with conclusion reached by GSMARENA. Maybe Hasselblad is not good at tuning smartphone cameras.

notafanboy, 29 Apr 2022Plenty of people care. Why are you upset?Because after OnePlus 8 pro, every phone was released by OnePlus are totally disappointiing.

Actually, this score is relatively good for oneplus considering it is using the same main sensor and zoom lens as the 9 pro but has a much weaker ultrawide sensor. Therefore they have done fairly well to improve the score slightly over the 9pro. They were never foing to challenge the top scores with an 8mp zoom lens and a jn1 ultrawide. The hardware simply ain't good enough to match the top phones

They will be made by a Chinese company like Sunny Optical. Leica just gives the rubner stamp of approval. Leica has many years of experience though in the mobile image processing area with Huawei and they have learnt from Huawei as Huawei have learnt from them so at least they should be able to provide some useful input to Xiaomi from their past experience
