Wanna overclock to gain something useful? Increase all cores by 0.35GHz at least. Not one core by 0.14GHz.

You just play with core frequency.
OEMs can easily overclock themselves, no need to qualcomm do it.
Also, older chips are no longer made after next genearation comes.
Chinese OMEs buy huge volume, more than they plan to use for current gen. With intentions to use next year.
Let's suppose a SoC is octacore A55@2.0GHz. Any OEM using software can turn it into A55@2.25GHz or A55@1.75GHz.

Also I feel smartphone need to go back to plastic bodies plastic can be engineered physically to dissipate heat far better than a glass slab
Imagine if the body of the smartphone was designed from the ground up with this type or similar groove work we could get cooler and less heavy smartphones
That manage heat and don't fall and shatter all in the stupid name of "feel premium" glass that cost an arm and a leg to replace if broken especially on flagship smartphones

Forget the u... moreI doubt the 865 or 865+ are still in production. Considering how it's already two generations old, I'm pretty sure that it's only the 870 that's still being produced for budget phones.
And also, what do you get by having a lower clock speed anyways? The phone will anyways throttle up and down depending on the task, and the 870 simply has more headroom to ramp up the clock speed if it needs to.
Napkin math indicates a 12.75% prime core clock speed increase if you get an 870 compared to a vanilla 865. If I give it a guess, the 870 will eke out 5% to 3% more performance and draw 5% to 7% more power. There will be no noticeable difference.

The case isn't a great accessory imho (Perhaps great avoiding holding a X5 Pro getting hot), even more if it will be included in China and sold separately eslewhere. I wonder what will happen in summer / hot weather with S888+ / S8G1 (perhaps version + too, we'll see how TSMC performs)
So much for a case when a simple USB ventilator could do better apparently :D
Dimensity this year could be more interesting, depending on their ISPs ... But they need to stop asking that much for this 'low' :p

There are pillows with gel to keep head cool.
Does not work well. And head is way cooler than a phone.
This would obvioulsly fail.
