I wish there were still high quality single lens phones, I can do without ultra wide and while a telephoto is nice, only high end phones have telephoto now.

Having fewer cameras allows the device to be smaller and the cameras are more discrete for Street photography

Kangal, 08 May 2022The whole Android Phone market is unhealthy. Apple's ... moreCannot say about the others but Sharp is making unreasonably bad product these days.
Garbage heat dissipation design, underwhelming camera software, non existing quality control, tie up with only those carriers and make astronomical amoint of bloatware and price, battery efficient but burn-in real quick igzo display....
          Countless to complain.
I don't understand how bad can one of the biggest company in Japan can accomplish.
Maybe looking at Sony's crappy softwares, that's what they got.

I mean this is still the battery life king after 4 years of announcement.

I wouldn't call this the first penta camera phone, but rather the Nokia 9, unless we count the TOF sensor as a camera.

It was an excellent all-rounder phone. In facts the whole V series was brilliant. Even most of the G series was brilliant. Why did LG give up, I'll never get it.

Phone companies keep adding pointless unnecessary features like more unwanted cameras, super, ultrafast charging, curved displays, television sized screens etc

Phone industry has become a joke these days

no matter how LG do if the price is not right than samsung apple or xiaomi. best flagship phones are these 3 not others.

The whole Android Phone market is unhealthy.
Apple's direct influence (glass backs, notch, headphone jack, charger, higher prices, no expandable memory, etc etc) continues to be a problem for consumers. The companies that made weird decisions and took chances are lost, and the companies that played it safe and made great devices for consumers are gone. It is all about the profit margin, high volume sales, and big spending on marketing. Basically making bonuses for the executives and CEOs.

We lost LG, Sony is looking bleak, Meizu hasn't expanded, ASUS is half-there, Lenovo has been flailing and we have a lineup of competitors that have closed up shop. Nokia, Palm, Blackberry, Microsoft, to name a few big ones. Then there's the likes of Alcatel, Acer, HTC, ZTE, Pantech, Panasonic and Sharp not doing too well. Google and the Pixel lineup is a joke, especially outside of the USA.

It is dominated by few companies.
                          - BBK (OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, Realme)
                          - Xiaomi (Mi, Redmi)
                          - Honor (Honor, Huawei)
                          - Samsung

I wished someone sensible would win the Super-Lottery and bring back great devices for consumers. Something that was built to be affordable, durable, feature-full, easy to service, with long-term reliability.

LG V30 was one of the best phones ever made. I assume it can still be used without problems today.

In other words, LG phones died because of people who wanted a digital camera they could text on, instead of an actual smartphone that is well-made with "only decent" cameras. Why was a notch so bad in 2018 when by then pop-up selfie cams were already being ditched for notches and hole-punches? Nobody even bothered to copy Sony who only thinned the bezels- still the best design by the way. Why was that not a sin if it's so undesirable? Was the notch hated more? Why do we STILL have either of these horrific design choices copied from Crapple, is the greatest question here.

                                The best phone of 2018

I read RishiGuru's comments on X5Max, V20, V40 and was in search of a good DAC enabled hardware. Bought from flipkart in sale in mid 2019 for 26k without exchange as first attempt with exchange failed. FlipKart exchange policy is still very bad. I am enjoying audio more than the optics. LG is out of mobile business and no more we are going to see such innovations and quality hardware. I am still using the phone, after i changed my carrier to Vodafone Idea battery life has greatly improved. I don't know why.
