Me neither, because i'm not seeing any real buzz around them. And those who have now tried them, when the novelty fades away they will switch back to normal phones. Just like many already have done. Galaxy zflip 3 was among most traded phone in US for galaxy S22 series.

Pretty sure this is the total number of phones sold by everyone, and there are plenty of manufacturers out there. For example, Samsung's S20 series all sold about 28 million units in 2020. I don't think foldables will reach 30 mil units anytime soon, but it's certainly less of a niche now than 3 years ago

Most people don’t need that big screen and most don’t want to fold and unfold their phones all the time. Foldables will stay niche, they might even be gone in few years after people actually use them daily and notice cons having foldable phone, why you think resell market is full of them with half a price?
Slap phones are best and most usable form factor. Rollable is also interesting concept if they one day get it work, because it biggest flaws with foldable, but foldables won’t be future of phones.

A Samsung is almost 9 out of every 10 foldable phones. Foldables currently fall in premium to ultra premium segment, so apple losses there, heavily. Perhaps that's the reason you aren't considering them in premium phone sales, but there the future of phones, actually. Also, the pro max 1tb is NOT an ultra premium phone, just because it has a terabyte of storage doesn't mean anything.

Okay then, apples share in total phones globally is so very low that they can be called a niche category of phones out of all phones. Also, counting smartphones and also basic phones, also landlines which are also technically phones, apples share becomes even lower. Yep, apple phones are a very little percentage in that way. They don't even matter, it can be said.

30 million is still niche. Also not sure if they will reach that, resell markets are full of foldable phones, it just shows the experience wasn’t what buyers expected and they want to get rid of them, i can’t say i’m surprised.

The Z Flip is killing it for sales of Samsung. I think they even ate into Apple's sales in the US.
