Severely overpriced. Two days ago i bought a Samsung Galaxy A52s in my country (Romania) for almost 200€.
It has a plastic back. So what, I use a case anyway.
Decent screen, decent Soc, decent camera and (Sony, are you paying attention?) decent software updates.
Sony has somehow made like a weird cult in the Android market, somehow close to Apple.
Speaking of Apple, there was an offer sometime at the end of March here, there was a whole weekend when you could have bought an iPhone 12 for like 510€.
But hey, who am I to compare a SD695 with a A14 Bionic?
Not an Apple fan here, just stating the obvious...

The phone looks like from year 2019, similar to Galaxy A50, Xiaomi Mi 9, etc. Except for the screen with huge bezel that looks like 2018 phone.

for 500 euro there is at least 10 phones with superior specs,half of them is samsung's,few xiaomis,even and an iphone,60 hz screen and mediocre soc is unacceptable

However..... morehow can it be a competition for samsung a52s, when samsung is half the price of sony. in my country in Europe you can get a52s for 220-250 euros. if sony puts 778 it will add another 100 euros:)
i got a52s on black friday with wireless buds for 300 euros. only the buds are like 100-120 euros.

Specs are par, looks are budget, price is too high. It's a plasticky 500-euro ugly-phone that will make you look and feel bad. The mark 3 was classy. This mark 4 is a botch !! Goodbye !! Let's shopping !!

Decent, a little overpriced, but decent overall.
However... it leaves a room for a Plus version with Snapdragon 778G, it would be a competition for the Samsung Galaxy A52s.
Meanwhile they should release the Xperia L5 with Dimensity 720 or 800 as the budget 5G option.

If only they priced it at €400 for 6/128 and new version €450 at 8/256 it is a decent deal. But yeah still stick to 60hz, at least they can upgrade it to 90hz.
