Touchscreen is the worst trend in automotive. It directly conflicts with the dont text and drive. Distraction from infotainment systems are just as distracting as smartphones. At least smartphones have a better reliability rate.

Would be exciting an awesome to have. However I don't think I've often had a 100% working Android Auto experience across multiple car and phone combinations yet

Can anyone explain why there can't be (stationary) video for Android Auto, running from phones, as well?

How about they fix the thing where Android Auto SWITCHES THE AUDIO APP AUTOMATICALLY.

A welcome addition, because my Hyundai's software already has split screen to show maps/navigation on one side, and music with controls/Android auto on the other.
Felt like Android Auto was underutilizing the screen real estate by showing just one app a time, which is unnecessary at times.

The touchscreen is fine and fancy, but they better have the Volume and temperature dial. Some places, it is just safer and expedient to have buttons and dials.

                                      "...split-screen is the new norm"
