I expect Michael Fisher to get the Razr 3 as one of his personal phones and I'm curious what he'll say about it? I know he isn't happy with its design. Looks like a Flip 3 clone. But Mike is giving it a chance.
What's weird is my Razr 5G only has 765G and it still throttles. It usually happens on Saturday for some reason. If it gets warm, it's like a budget phone from 2013. And this phone easily gets warm on hot days. I guess Qualcomm really did become garbage after the 870. But I'll still stick to them for the emulation scene.
Razr 3 is the first phone from Motorola in years using a flagship SoC. I'm not sure it will get major gains in battery life since the display will get better in both inner and outer and it's getting 120 Hz. But it's good to know they went flagship with the SoC this time around.

All I want to see for the next RAZR is wired Ready For Desktop Mode support. It has been giving Samsung DeX some serious competition.

I might still keep my Razr 5G while still getting the next Razr. I don't think I can live using Snapdragon 765G for the next 4-8 years. The 8+ Gen 1 is what the 888 and 8 Gen 1 should've been. But I'll keep the Razr 5G because it might be the final model to actually look like a classic RAZR with the classic chin and camera being centered.
The $1400 price for the Razr 3 is still a bummer. Razr should only cost $700 at most. I got my 5G for $500. Razr is sti my preference over a Flip. I still love my Flip 3. It's the better overall device. If it came down to one choice, I'll pick the Flip. But for both were options, I prefer using my Razr 5G more. I prefer being seen with it.
The Flip 3 just doesn't have a useful cover display and isn't as beautiful. And Razr 5G frustrates me with lag and whatnot and I still prefer my sim inside it. Flip is good for emulation and streaming stuff. It works great as a phone too but Razr has that sexiness and rarity about it.

A.C, 23 May 2022I feel like an 8-tier Snapdragon chipset is just not gonna ... moreAbsolutely agree with this. By design, Samsung's Flip series doesn't allow for large batteries and yet they throw the latest flagship chipset inside it which results in short battery life. The hardware in the Flip series isn't even beefy enough to warrant using the latest flagship chipset unlike their mainline S series. The highest end Snapdragon 7xx chipset would probably be more than enough for most people buying a Flip and you'd most likely get better battery life as well. Unless Motorola puts a large battery (e.g. 4000mAh-4300mAh) inside their next Razr, it's most likely going to get one of the worst endurance ratings on this website.

I feel like an 8-tier Snapdragon chipset is just not gonna fit in a Razr. As most people will use the Razr for work, not gaming or anything, an 8-tier chipset is just gonna be an overkill or a waste. I feel like they should have gone with the 7 Gen1 or the 778G not gonna lie, which is adaptable for everyday usage while being pretty power-comsumption friendly and not gonna draw too much power.

This has the potential be the the RAZR everyone want to see. They just need to keep up their iconic RAZR design & not go for simplicity like the Samsung Z Flip series.
