Apple needs to get back to business and innovation, so we can all be proud of it. And get rid of Tim Cook -- he figured that he can make more money by being close to the Chinese government rather than by innovating, and by virtue-signaling to the home market.

SShock, 25 May 2022They are not solar powered. Solar cell only mildly extends ... moreI too have a "light" (not just solar) powered (regular quartz) watch which I got in 2012 for ~$200 and it ran absolutely fine for I think 8-9 yrs after which I had to replace the battery.
That's because I had left it in a cupboard for almost a year (thanks covid), and when I eventually took it out, it did run after charging it, but it kept showing the low-power indicator (jumping seconds-2 or 4 sec intervals) after a few hours even tho I had already charged it!
Now, it's again running absolutely fine!

Apple is one of the worst companies out there. They said they took the charger out of box to help save the environment, yet make phones almost impossible to repair. Walled garden is a nice why to say concentration camp.

Bhupi, 25 May 2022When Apple shall bring out Solar powered watches a la Garmin? They are not solar powered. Solar cell only mildly extends the usage time and even that makes any significant difference when in low power mode where they only do most basic things. We won't see actually solar powered smartwatches for a long while, possibly not any time soon or even ever.
I've done some research on this as I was excited if it could run entirely on solar, but they can't unfortunately. I have bunch of solar only classic watches and they are pretty great. Some are 10 years old and still run just from sun alone. Would be cool to have that on more power hungry smart watches. Hell, even just extending their run time between charges would be nice addition and that's what Garmin does. Although for those limited smart watches it's not really needed as they run almost whole month on single charge anyway. Unless you use GPS a lot. But there solar doesn't really help much either.

People belonging to LGBTQ community spend upto $200 Billion worth of merchandise purchases on that month alone.
It's a huge market, ofcourse a lot of unethical companies like Apple use that opportunity to cash in and taking advantage of them.
