Man IP 68 is nothing just a cstly gimmick any case bought on alliexpress for 2 dollars does way better job for way less.
IP rated phones were tested in standing still conditions in water tank and with purified clean water take it into sea and is dead imminent it enter sea water.
With a 2 dollar case from alliexpress even several hours underwater wont make any damage.
GG Victus is another gimick where screen protector and a quality leather book case both for 5 dollars protects a lot better than a stupid GG Victus which cost plenty and is very expensive to repair where peeling of broken screen protector ad gluing new one cost 2-3 dollars.
About USB 3.0 or 3.1 Xiaomi uses 2.0 on even most expensive phones and nobody complains only data transfer is faster nothing else and thats really dont make much difference.

              In true Chinese fashion they will probably launch a new sub brand a few weeks later; Something. At least that sounds like Samsung.

As some specs leaked before, it is going to be very similar to OnePlus Nord in specs, with them useless few MP macro sensors.

                                  A phone with upper-mid range cpu, lets say about 8 gigs of ram, a decent camera setup, Qi charging, >50w charging, jack, memory card slot and stabel/customizable software could be a great step-in to the market.
                                  I hope they are heading to this direction.

                                    Not costing 1000€ is a good start. Now the question is what are they going to do with it. It needs flagship display, chipset, battery and camera that's how flagship killers were always set up. The rest will have to be compromises so they can fit all that into the small budget. Lets see what they'll do.

                                        Looking at what you ask in the comment section, you guys should just buy the Sony Xperia 1 Mk4 and 10 Mk4.
