      Once bitten, twice shy.
      We saw what happened to the Essential Phone 1, what is to say this would be any better?
      They are now the underdogs, for anyone to be excited for them, they have to please the crowd. That means going against the trend. Like including many features not found on a Luxury Samsung or Flagship Xiaomi phone.

      Examples: rootable, durable, flat glass, front-firing stereo loudspeakers, headphone jack, microSD slot, IrDa Blaster, fast-charger in box, Ejectable JoyCons, Flip Camera or Lens attachable, User Removable Battery, or IPS-screen for zero burn-in, etc etc.

        If this phone didnt have the classic features like music jack , led notification light , memory card, FM radio then its just another smartphone , nothing special .

          6.7-inch flat panel, flat panel eh, no less than that, good screen brightness, good camera sensors, avoid that ugly hole that all three currently have, stereo front speakers, IP protection certification, good battery and good autonomy and the last soc of Qualcomm, the price is not a problem, do that and you will have a client Nothing!!!

            For this price it better have : IP68, 50-ish mm camera, USB 3.0/3.1, gorilla 6 or victus on screen.

              OnePlus and Realme are made at Oppo's.

                  This phone is taking way too long to launch. I'm passing it off and buying something else. Nothing shouldn't have started teasing it for that long in advance

                    It could be that they use the SD 7 Gen 1 instead of the 8 series, though I think that would be a big mistake.

                    Given that his approach so far is exactly the same as OnePlus in terms of drip feeding specs (so unimaginative), they might sell the first model with decent specs and a reasonable price to build up the brand before increasing prices like OnePlus did. What would be hilarious is if there's an invite system due to low stock. I don't think Pei is stupid enough to try that though.

                      Has anyone figured out WHICH Chinese smartphone manufacturer is actually building these?
                      My guess is a sub-company of BBK electronics, Oppo, Vivo, Realme etc...
