Nick Tegrataker, 03 Jun 2022"however,chinese brands make this impossible" Fa... moreNick, I'd advise you to keep your Huawei P30 Pro. I've got the Xaomi Note 10 pro and decided to go back to Huawei P30 pro for the camera alone. If the note 10 pro had the P30 pro camera it would be one of the best phones on the market I was Huawei prior to purchasing my Xaomi note 10 pro.... If I was you I'd wait for the 12 ultra to come out sporting the Leica camera. Otherwise just stick with your P30 pro until Xaomi starts to make big moves as the other premium phones they've realised don't have exceptional reviews.

But I want a phone that can take good photos in auto, and at least the one that gives me an option to shoot multi-frame RAW in either the first-party or the third-party camera apps, and unfortunately, Pro-I delivers neither of them. The fact that I now have a Sony mirrorless (a6000 - it's an old model, I know, but fairly capable still) sitting at the corner of my desk definitely doesn't help, as whenever I want more than what a smartphone camera is capable of, I can just take that outside with me.

Want a camera that they can just point and click with. Sony phones have a superior amount of options and customizations but they have little to no processing. The camera just does what you make it do, if you are in a moment and just want to take a quick photo, you're gonna want the phone that can capture the moment IN the moment. That's all it comes down to. Sony makes a super product to the photographer who loves to edit and get creative. But in a pinch, I want my Pixel 6 Pro.

I have the Sony 1iii, the stock isn't good, but the pro features and add ons are premium. You need too learn and its hard understanding what these features do. There's so much stuff too learn. Not your typical s22ultra or p40 pro or 13pro max camera features are straightforward easy too handel .

False. They are giving you exactly what you're looking for, that is, "more competiton in premium segment", by offering flagship products that are more or less comparable to those from Apple and Samsung in many areas but have substantial advantages in a few others (Camera, charging speed, cooling, etc), while also releasing a variety of compelling midrangers at attractive price range at the same time for those who cannot pay as much.

"that's why apple does not write "made in china" and prefer 'designed by apple in California'"
Yeah, Apple knows people still have a strong stereotype that anything related to China somehow has to be low quality, that's why.

"even if you buy a tire to your car at a premium price, you don't chose a chinese product over a pirelli or Michelin."
I don't have a preference for a particular country - I bought iPhone 13 Pro as my work phone a few months ago, but I'm looking into Xiaomi/Oppo high-end phones to replace my aging Huawei P30 (my private phone) eventually. Of course, if Samsung could offer what I want, then I would be buying one from them without any hesitation - but right now these two companies, which *just* happened to be based in China, are attracting me the most.
