yalim, 02 Jun 2022whatevery improvement they make on the paper, chinese brands... moreAt least for the camera, Samsung (and Apple) are focusing on making their phones look more capable than they actually are, rather than achieving great final results. Still photo quality is something I value a lot on a smartphone and neither Samsung nor Apple delivers remotely usable results (i.e. Photos look trash), and it's an area where Xiaomi and BBK have been consistently performing better than either two and leading the entire industry after Huawei ceased to exist outside China.
It's quite interesting that you seem to care a lot more about Chinese high-end smartphones than most Xiaomi/BBK buyers do, despite the fact that you would probably never get one for yourself to begin with, simply because they are "made in China".

Isn't that a picture of the Leica Leitz Phone, not the Xiaomi 12U?

yalim, 02 Jun 2022whatevery improvement they make on the paper, chinese brands... moreI always expected acceptable quality at much lower price from Chinese brands. The error all these companies did is that they just throw meaningless big number specs at the problem and slap a ridiculous price tag on it. I don't care if it has the most RAM, most megapixels and last chipset when as a product as whole just isn't even remotely on the same level as Apple or Samsung. Both of these have issues too, but their products just feel more complete and more deserving of higher price than Chinese brands. But everyone wants to be "premium" and charge top prices without any extra effort. It's why Chinese phones up to 500€ are still acceptable and ok option, those at 900€ mark and above just aren't.

whatevery improvement they make on the paper, chinese brands cannot steal apple and samsung customers out of china with prices around €900-1000. if you go for any chinese product,it means you are going for a cheaper purchase, not to a better quality.

I just hope that Leica can do a major part in bringing top-notch photo quality. I remembered reading a comment on this site saying that Xiaomi photos being too Instagram-like, and I can definitely vouch that if I don't use GCam port.

After being quite a while with xiaomi ( + 7 years ) and enjoying it quite a lot even more than any other phone i've had... I have to say that is enough, the prices are going a bit too far away for really poor overall experience, not that is bad, but is not as good as other devices.
Also, quality of xiaomi has degraded quite a bit, people is saying how good it is, but that is because they did not have the old Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 or the Special Edition full ceramic body, or the Mi Mix 2S, which where true great devices with quality felt everywere with fine details, sold my s21 ultra and now using my old mi mix 2, and to be honest it runs GREAT, and i haven't reseted it since i started using it, small phone, not as bulky as nowadays "flagships" fits in hand great....etc
Now Xiaomi has been inflating the hype around Xiaomi 12 Ultra for a while now, quite tired of waiting sooo long, and then is going to come out on some regions, or at mind-blowing prices ( 1300€+ ) so for me, at least for now, xiaomi no-go for some time.

I'll get the one with white ceramic back, it'll be more durable and resistant to scratches. Also white red and black color mix will look nice

I smell price inflation because "muh camera lens branding". Image quality won't be any better and all you'll get is red logo and bunch of fancy nostalgia infused color filters that mimic "Leica" style from century ago...
