A lot has changed in the last decade - higher resolutions, more cameras, better lenses and more. Here is a quick look back at how far mobile tech has come.

77, 06 Jun 2022S22ultra, when you zoom in, it loses pixels its not true ... moreYou clearly don't have any idea what you're saying.

vrvly, 05 Jun 2022Wasn't so true with ultra pixels. Even if they use 12m... moreA smaller pixel pitch means more noise per MP. Although at low ISO, noise could be completely hidden away through downsampling, colour degradation and luminance noise would become much more noticeable as ISO creeps up and there would be a certain threshold where increased resolution could be no longer considered to be an advantage. My bet is that if Apple is moving onto a 48MP sensor (almost definitely at this point), it will be Quad Bayer.

"lossless 2x, stacked hi res with standard Bayer"
You can achieve similar results with a Quad Bayer sensor too through super-res stacking.

Proves an important point: buy new phone every ~4 years. Otherwise you are just being squeezed from money for nothing.

77, 06 Jun 2022S22ultra, when you zoom in, it loses pixels its not true ... moreHey mate, I just wanted to tell you that it is a true lossless 10x zoom. Anything beyond 10x, I agree it's not true lossless. But the statement that it is "fake 10x lossless" is not true. It has a physical and proper dedicated 10x zoom lens.

vrvly, 05 Jun 2022More resolution welcome as it means more data to work with,... moreYou are absolutely true. In many cases, more pixels give you more detail and makes the photos look a bit better, especially in those situations where extra detail helps. Also, developing a 200mp camera that can go in a smartphone and produce great results will be an amazing feat. But I do think it's not something we need that much, and the 108mp will do just fine for another year or two. Just do some tweaking and improvements and you are good to go.

77, 05 Jun 2022Fake 10x loseless zoom, you lose pixels when zoomed in, ..Dude its due to different sensor... you're not cropping in from main 🤣 so difference in quality yes, losing pixels no.

The dual aperture was not killed on the S10 series. It stayed until the Note10 series.

77, 05 Jun 2022Garbage , comparing it to a nokia pureview , with no lossle... moreThe Pureview was good but the S21U was far from Garbage. It was one of, if not the best camera phone of last year and with good reason. 10x optical lossless zoom was crazy detailed and the picture quality was superb. I barely ever use flash on phones aswell seeing as they have night mode which samsungs is far ahead of most competitors to the point a flash is borderline useless as anything other than a torch

vrvly, 05 Jun 2022Wasn't so true with ultra pixels. Even if they use 12m... moreSony might just put that in their new Pro-I series instead, but who knows. Apparently, Sony has 2 more phones being announced this year.

Samsung mobiles are always a fascination to me. Their Amoled screens, cameras, edge screens etc. We got a S8 in 2017 and it was our first flagship mobile. But that was bought by my brother, and I used it in the first week, which was a wonderful experience. Later I jumped into iPhone territory because of a sluggish Mi phone which was a budget phone in India. Recently in April this year I again came back to Android with my Note 9 which I bought in TheFoneStore for 350 CAD. This is my first Samsung mobile and the last one from Samsung with a 3.5 mm jack and SD card. Even though it is a four-year-old mobile it has a lot of features that I spent a whole month exploring and still have. Photos and Videos might not be up to the mark with current standards but still great and I love them. I bought iPhone 11 Pro Max a flagship mobile, in 2011. It is a great one with the longest battery life, but compared to the Note 9 I have now, the enjoyment was not remarkable. iPhone are great but boring except for the camera and video quality. No matter how much money you spend on iPhones everyone's phone looks the same inside you can't customize much. But Samsung mobiles are for tech savvy guys and they can enjoy it every day and minute.

Looking at the camera specs chart S10 5G looks best with most features. Comapred to other newer or older phones.
