This is clearly nonsense, show even article? If there’s dozens of them 😂 How it’s possible for Apple to grow their userbase average 60 million in a year if more people switch to Android than what Apple gets? 😆 shouldn’t iPhone userbase then get smaller instead growing rapid speed? Where those average 60 million users yearly comes? 😅 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5446f93de4b0a3452dfaf5b0/1603889365049-ZMXMT5USM7O9R56RNZJM/iPhone+Installed+Base+%28Above+Avalon%29?format=1500w

    1) Proof is needed. Otherwise that is just your moot opinion.
    2) iPhones have ALWAYS been popular with teens, so what you're saying is not something new, and does not support your argument.

    > "There just isn’t many people to buy Android high-end phones anymore, it’s just reality."

I think you are misguided. The market for high-end phones has not decreased, nor has it decreased. It's still the same as it was before. People are still buying high-end phones through phone carriers on a locked plan, which can reduce the price of the phone. Most consumers do not buy them unlocked at full-price, THAT is the reality.

    > "In future Android mostly will stay kids few first smartphones until most of them switch to iPhone."

What are you, a prophet? You cannot claim something if you have no clear evidence. That is merely your opinion, and it's a poor opinion guided by feelings, not facts.

-Trix-, 07 Jun 2022” The opposite case also exists, you know. Many iPhone user... moreBlah blah blah, and where's your proof for that?

I've literally read dozens of tech articles saying that more iPhone users are switching over to Android. I have rarely, if ever, stumbled across an article claiming the opposite.

It's going to take a lot more than to simply say "that's not true, sales are poor".

NeonHD, 07 Jun 2022The opposite case also exists, you know. Many iPhone users ... more” The opposite case also exists, you know. Many iPhone users are also switching over to Android, a bit more so actually (at least from what I've read).

And if there is a significant imbalance, it's only temporary and flucatues on a regular basis (e.g. more iPhone users switch to Android in Q1 2022, more Android users switch to iPhone in Q2 2022, more iPhone users switch to Android in Q3 2022, etc etc.)”

This is not true, this kind of things would show in Android high-end sales, but it doesn’t. Every year Android high-end phone sales are down and looks like they can’t change direction, that shows that more and more high-end user choose iPhone, so there just isn’t many people to buy Android flagship phones anymore, sametime Apple is having close to record iPhone sales.

Also most teens nowdays have iPhone, so google already lost most of these users for many years. There just isn’t many people to buy Android high-end phones anymore, it’s just reality. In future Android mostly will stay kids few first smartphones until most of them switch to iPhone. Only good thing for Android OEMs is the fact that Apple don’t have real cheap iPhone on the market.

Quite disappointing those new features for iOS 16! Especially for IPhones with 6,5 respectively 6.7 inch screens: Where is the option to run 2 apps on the screen at the same time (split-screen feature)? Why isn’t it possible to have small windows for each app, which I could change in size and screen position via dragging? Why are stuff like content of file app or Microsoft Office displayed on connected monitors with black bars on the top and bottom (instead of adopting the monitor resolution)? Why isn‘t it possible to have a landscape mode for homescreen and all apps (depending on the orientation of the IPhone itself)? Why aren’t there more high quality Bluetooth protocols for audio available? Why is there not a sign of desktop mode (like Samsung DeX) possible? Apple is so fu**ing uninspired, stubborn and poor of innovation, that slowly it really starts to hurt!

So basically Apple ran out of ideas and decided to push a whole release just for lock screens. I was an iPhone user from 2008 till 2014. Ever since Android matured it was a relief to stay away from the iOS closed eco system.

Iphone to droid and vice versa.
Also some were ios users from start, android users, wp users, Symbian, blackberry, no phone, etc.

                Learn to logic.

Apple is 10 years late. Customizable lockscreens were always a thing on jailbroken iOS with Cydia's Winterboard. I remember having some very beautiful lockscreens on my old iPod touch running iOS 6, with a weather widget and everything.

But damn, I really like this. I like it even more than Android 12's monet engine. I wonder if the clock is actually smart enough to hide underneath objects in the wallpaper, as seen in some of the photos. If that is a feature, then that's really cool.

I won't be switching to iPhone, but I might consider buying an iPhone just to experience iOS 16 and beyond.

-Trix-, 07 Jun 2022It’s not, where you think iPhone users then came/comes? 😅 H... moreThe opposite case also exists, you know. Many iPhone users are also switching over to Android, a bit more so actually (at least from what I've read).

And that is completely normal. People have their reasons for switching from iPhone to Android, or from Android to iPhone. Neither side is winning or losing more customers to a degree that's significant enough.

And if there is a significant imbalance, it's only temporary and flucatues on a regular basis (e.g. more iPhone users switch to Android in Q1 2022, more Android users switch to iPhone in Q2 2022, more iPhone users switch to Android in Q3 2022, etc etc.)

Every iPhone user i know enough well switched from Android to iPhone. And there’s more and more of them coming all the time, iPhone is getting more and more appealing while Android going opposite direction. This iOS16 will again make many switch to iPhone

For people here who doesn't know me. I used/own both iPhone and Android phone as my daily drive. I used/own Mac, Window PC and Linux. I'm not a slave to any either brands unlike most of you people here. I buy and use whatever that suits me and can made my job done and effectively. Remember my location tag people 😏

For me, the biggest problem with the iOS lock screen is that ugly huge clock. When they said customization on lock screen I really hoped they will have an option to reduce the size or move or remove the clock from the lock screen. Looks like we have to wait for iOS 25 for this simple feature
