Apart from people whose broke from upgrading or just people who want the latest every year or 2 years, I still see plenty of people rocking an iPhone 6/6s/X and Galaxy S7-10 from time to time, and those phones are already 4-7 years at this point. Funny how you downplay OS updates just because casual users "don't" care about it, but you know deep inside Android phones can barely catch up on Apple's update game while manufacturers make it a big deal about having 3-5 years of support when it shouldn't be in the first place.
BTW I'm using a OnePlus 9 Pro before everyone lashes out at my comment about being a shill. I'm just being realistically fair to both brands because they both have their pros and cons obviously.

Apple is still way ahead for software support even reaching 6 years for the iPhone 6s' and se's, sad that the iPhone 7 got cut from IOS 16, Apple would've just made it standard to be 6 years of updates from iPhone 6s and later and extend the lead for updates.

But hey, who have the same phone more then 1 or 2 years. Most people dont care of 3-4-5 years uodate.
Normal people (no tech brains), dont even know about updates.
Errr okay, do i have an update, yes you have. I seen many of those folks. They only interested in using it for calls and texting.
Btw, remember, its only a lousy dead smartphone we talking about, nothing more or less.
