At least the G99 has a relative strong foundation to lay on that is Helio G96, on the other hand SD680 is just a butchered down SD835 or a souped up SD662, depending on which side you look at

because mali g50 series designed for normal usage like watching 1080p videos, taking good pictures...
i really wanted this helio g99 to come with mali g67 mc4 with same 6nm or at least with mali g57 mc3 like dimensity 810
but as always mediatek helio series keep disappointing me and if it keep using this downgrade strategy no one going to buy it
so you should switch back to higher gpu or discontinued and switch all phones to dimensity

GPU of... moreYes it will seem like a downgrade but prolly not,you see,the G95 is incredible for it's price for performance value but it overheats like hell,thus the fps will NOT be stable.The temperature while gaming for G95 always goes more than 45c,like for Redmi note 10S,it's goes to 47c!!!.Thus the fps is NOT stable at all.
Plus it's literally 2x smaller,2x more power efficient,and I bet it won't have overheating problems,thus the phone will be good even after years,more smartphone life.
It's AnTuTu is even higher,single core and multi core scores are higher too.
It's a real good move since the Mediatek G series only bad thing is it's NM size and now they did the best thing they could.
MediaTek is surpassing snapdragon in every way rn, battery life,stability, price,heating problems...
MediaTek is winning for sure.

Anonymous, 07 Jun 2022its not mediatek fault.oem/infinix choose that g99 over dim... moreinfinix are so stingy that they dont even bother using dimensity on their phones, probably dimensity has more security than helios so they can put malwares without any permission. no matter if youre not on internet.
