Helio g96 isn't that bad, it's not much of a downgrade to g95 in term performance, while g95 do have better performance than snapdragon 732g (I heard) it overheats like crazy and would not be comfortable on your hand!, in other hand there's g96 it's.. yeah heat. but! some phones on this chipset have a well built cooler thus making the phone throttle rarely.
with a good software it could outclass g95, and if demanding games could optimize their games heavy resource's, I think this chipset is quite fine depending what the who's brand phone have it.

all these dummies sending all those dummy comments don't understand anything in this business. this creature is extremely great for its price. g96 is not a bad chipset, it's g95 with a bit downgraded GPU. 1.5 yrs ago g95 was a banger in midrange, i doubt it changed a lot. if u give these dummies this g96 phone to use and tell em it's snap 765 they will tell ya like wow cool dude it kinda flies snap 765 is so awesome omg omg cool

Juts, 20 Jun 2022Vip, why still use helio G96?Because for $300 you can't have a 108mp camera, 120hz 10 bit panel and 120hz charging and make an money throwing in anything other than a low end SoC. (should be pretty low power too so better battery)

While I do think that the phone is not garbage as it is (I mean, HelioG96 can really do almost everything you can throw at it), it will be hard for Infinix to make a name in the $300 price poing considering that the midrange are oversaturated (and perhaps dominated) by Pocos and Xiaomis. Add the threatening Samsung A series, the Nords, and some realmes.
Phone's not bad, but it will struggle. Corners had to be cut in order to offer that screen and fast charging capability. Not a deal for me since I can live in a slower charging protocol.

This is overpriced garbage!! No one cares. They can give it a nice display and fancy design but it doesn't change the fact it's got a garbage SOC. The G96 sucks so all it's little fancy extras are just trying to polish a turd

I think you should check the settings to see if Infinix is also doing some Boost Mode shenanigans
