Huawei FreeBuds 5i launch with better ANC, longer battery life and improved design

The Active Noise Cancellation now tops out at 42dB, up from 22dB of the 4i. Also, total battery life is now up to 28 hours (up from 22 hours).

They're great all around earbuds, but the bass could have a bigger presence. These are great for phone calls. My preferred affordable TWS for music is the Redmi Airdots 3. I just ordered a Haylou W1 so I will see if that can dethrone the Airdots 3 for me. Hard wired is still better especially as a value proposition IMO.

    I own the 4i and love them although the bass is not that punchy. The clarity is pretty good at low volume. Though the soft touch is quite limited but for the affordable price point, can't complaint. Particularly love the pause feature when I take out the bud. Apart from the longer playtime, impressed with the pairing. The 5i anc improvement as claimed seems to be good.looking forward to get hold of 5i.

      I really need to know when these are officially launching. Huawei said they are launching globally on the 18th of June but there has been no sight of them whatsoever. Please let me know where will I be able to purchase them. Thank you.

                Huawei can't be taken seriously anymore. While Lenovo and heck, even Xiaomi are taking strides in their own design language, Huawei is still using the "copy whatever Apple is doing" route.

                  I just bought the silver Free Buds 4 and the battery life with ANC is not so good but the quality of the sound is and when ANC is turned on, it really works very well. I will surely go for 5 when they will be avaible.

                          FreeBuds 4i has better baterry life still, you can listen 10 hours on a single charge compared to not even 8hrs on FreBuds 5i.

                                bought the 4i last year, still pretty good

                                  ANC is like magic, until you see that trick perform on graph against others or hear in quality binaural comparison.
