Still, trying 4K on today's mid phones and it will simply refuse to record, software or some reason.

Phone manufacturers want more profit and that is by using their services or buying their products. But nowadays reviewers and tech geeks are pretty smart so if apple or Samsung again releases software that degrades the phone people will catch it and sue them so NOW I don't think they do that

And don't worry about 8K recording heating it up. I'll tell you a fun fact:- Redmi Note 4's old firmware forgot to put a lock on its camera... You know with Open Camera app, the 2014, $150 midrange phone with Snapdragon 625 (& 4 GB RAM) does a 4K recording in 60 fps! Yes, you read and I typed absolutely right.. I did it myself.
Meanwhile Snapdragons of today struggle with 4K30.

Its proves the chipsets do have hidden potentials that companies may keep locked.

8K@24 is not too much of a big deal, if the phone company is a dedicated, committed and hardworking team. And given what my LG G8x is, LG sure must've done a near perfect job on V60, I trust LG Quality.

Redmi Note 2 --> RiP in 2020, charging chip issue on the mainboard.
Mi Max --> in use, grey shade in display, still usable
Mi 4i --> in use, minor ghost touch

Mi 5s plus --> in use, main camera blurry
Redmi note 8 --> no issue
Redmi note 8 pro --> no issue, touch delay gone
Redmi note 10 --> minor black crush issue
                    Poco F3 --> no issue
Poco X3 NFC --> no issue

Our family have relatively good experience with Xiaomi. Cheaper spareparts compared to others and solid service center.

We have also few Samsung phones.

The issue was resolved for me after updating the phone to MIUI 11. The phone is reaching 3 years old this November and my nephew is still using it without any major issue.

Another Xiaomi phone was Mi 9T that I recently sold after 2 years of use and replaced with Poco F3. The Mi 9T worked well for me in the 2 years I have it, with my only issue being the irregular security updates.

So basically it's the Poco F3 with slightly higher battery capacity and faster charging rate. Don't think SD870 needs a better cooling technology other than what's already on the F3. Never have heating issues on that device. This better suits the latter SD chipsets they tend to heat up a lot. I just think it's wasted on the 870.

The fact the Poco F3 already had this chip is a testament to how good the Poco F3 was, not "how bad" the Poco F4 may be -- pricing is of the essence in the flagship killer range. With the right price this phone can become the stuff of legends!
