Anonymous, 17 Jun 2022I have a computer.
Why would i use my phone for *any* of t... moreyou'd do that when you're not at home, not near a power outlet or don't have your PC with you.
some people do not own a PC, so having a variety of different devices for different people's needs makes sense.
some people do not need good cameras on their phones, some don't need large screens, others prefer larger screens as they may keep their mobile in a bag, others may not be able to afford to own a PC/laptop/desktop, others might not know how to use a PC, some people just want the best from their phone when they upgrade so that they can keep it longer.
it's all subjective.

I love the design, square like the iPhone and with Android, best of both worlds for me, I wonder if the cases for the iPhone also fit since the design is similar :p

Older generation like us exactly shares the same feeling as yours. "I have a computer for that". But if you look at the future and how the future kids and young people tend to live the "on the go" lifestyle, I think tremendous peak in technology will essentially boildown in the palm of your hand aka phone. So yeah, power is needed. Revolution is needed on this space.

Why would i use my phone for *any* of that?
Seems quite silly.
Of course i use my phone for light browsing or messaging (size makes little difference there).
For anything else i own a device with a large screen already, where all of that is 100 times better anyway.
I feel like I (being 25 yo) have completely lost touched with what people do with phones, it all seems completly stupid.
I have zero reason to own something larger than 6' and i can not image what anyone else would do with such a thing, except making their lives more painful...

Shadows, 16 Jun 2022Is Nothing a BBK sub-brand? Wonder why people think thatIt hasn't been confirmed yet, but there is suspicion. The very iPhone "inspired" design of the Nothing phone also doesn't help, since BBK likes to do that too

Ok, at first I was a bit negative about the brand trying to be the next iPhone in terms of hype and adoption. And although a transparent back is nothing new (Xiaomi), this iteration is better, at least to my taste. The fact that this device doesn't opt for the top notch hardware is a plus as well. Looking at the current 700 series there are many variant with more than decent performance and very good power management so I think (hope) the series 7 gen 1 will be equally power savvy and performant enough. Now it all comes to the asking price.

It's possible to use the same phone for long time and will feel like ok despite having extremely outdated hardware. But you see, if you use new phone, even new mid-ranger for a week or so and go back to use your 7 years old one plus them you'll see how slow it is and how you're spending a lot of time waiting for it to open apps you use and overall experience.
