All social apps privacy are not good. As long as you go online, even if you hide everything, any users can see the Online indication. SMS is so far the best privacy hidden message tool.

instead of these 3 I'd rather this setting for message delivery receipts, my About and Photo are blank anyway and couldn't care less really about Last seen, but message delivery receipts clearly show you got the message

Isn't it ironical to have such a feature? Aren't social media & messaging apps suppose to bring & connect people and the world together. It's hard to reconcile the idea behind this new feature.

Before whatsapp people had their privacy and life and were meeting other people and were doing stuff together, now they don't anymore, or at least not even close to how it was. So this "Social" platforms made them anti-social while stealing their life and privacy.

Sending a photo while data is off, when it says to retry -just change the sent image to original and rename it with the WhatsApp generated file's name does help. Then turn on data and just retry, photo will be a lot better. It's okay if you disagree with me. 😅 I don't care.

They still won't let ... moreLooks stalker level 100 for me. I mean if you are talking with somebody, only they can see "typing". Not other people from your contact list. What's wrong with that?
As for "online" status, they kind of implemented new security since start of this year. So nobody outside your contact list can see you "online" anymore. That means if you are so easily triggered by this thing, just delete that contact from your contact list. Even if they want to stalk you, they will not see you "online" if they are not part of your contact list anymore. I think this feature they copy it from Signal app.
But then again, like I said, if you are so easily triggered by what other people can see or can't see about you (people that normally know you and are in your contact list), just delete WhatsApp and move on to Signal. In Signal almost everything is with security. But, in my opinion that's bullsh*t, I can't even tell if someone has actually saw my message or is responding to my message in Signal. I just need to wait like an id*ot until they do. Security is nice to have, too much security cancels the idea of this social apps in the first place. The idea is to get together and talk with people from your social space (friends, colleagues, relatives, etc.), not to have everything "blocked", seen only by yourself.

Whats the point of this Whatsapp update ? WhatsApp is a messaging app not social media . If he chating with someone in WhatsApp its mean we know eachother !

Isn't it easier to just block that person (if is really annoying you)? Otherwise for me, is even more dangerous. Because, if I can't see someone profile photo or last seen and about, but someone else from our circle of friends does, then f*ck you, delete number and good riddance.
This will work maybe with ex girlfriends/boyfriends. If you want to keep them around in your life, but not 100%. But, in this case, like I said, better to block them and be done with it.
