rizki1, 21 Jun 2022Mi 11T cost €500 and S20+ cost €1000 very nice comparison w... moreLol, I paid for each of those 2 phones around 360EUR (the Xiaomi was open box device at that price, the Samsung was second hand device). Both cost me similar money. So, based on the money I paid for them, I compare them directly.

I rarely buy phones new, immediately after they hit the shelves. The Xiaomi 11T cost in my country initially 480EUR. I just waited 3-4 months and some nice discount and that's it. And I sold it with 300EUR, lol. So, lost only 60EUR on this deal. But I get to have direct experience about a new Xiaomi phone. As for the S20+ I lost even less money, because I sold it with 320EUR.
But anyway, bottom line is that One Ui felt smoother for me than MiUi.

rizki1, 21 Jun 2022this is long term review from Mi 11, and GSMArena praise it... moreThe best way to make your opinion about a phone is to actually use it yourself. Yeah, you can enter on special sites like this, go on YouTube, etc. But in the end, the best way is to use it yourself. Sites like this are good to give you an idea about a phone or another.
Thus being said, my previous 2 phones were Galaxy S20+ (Exynos 990 variant) and Xiaomi Mi 11T. And the Samsung felt smoother in the Ui and generally using it in day to day. The Xiaomi was more powerful (for gaming) and had better battery and charging speeds. But talking only about Ui experience, the S20+ was smoother. Not to mention, I had some problems with the Xiaomi, with apps like Netflix or Amazon Prime (they just crushed or give black screens when trying to view movies). Also, when trying to watch movies online it didn't worked 100% of the time. With the S20+ I had 0 issues on this regard.

You can take it as you want this information, but this was my personal experience. And no, I didn't had a faulty Xiaomi. I am totally sure about this, because the problems were not hardware. It was just the Ui that caused problems.
I am not saying that Xiaomi is bad, but in my personal experience, One Ui is better than Mi Ui. And this weren't my first Samsung and Xiaomi phones.

George399, 21 Jun 2022Buggy software no thanks.this is long term review from Mi 11, and GSMArena praise it. one of the best android skin.

"All of this aside, MIUI 12.5 is by far the best looking and smoothest feeling iteration of the skin yet. It's a joy to use, even if some idiosyncrasies still remain here and there (for example, the System apps updater is still a part of Settings, and it still only updates a limited subset of system apps, with the rest getting their new versions through the Play Store)"

"But, on the Mi 11, we haven't encountered any bugs, big or small, after installing MIUI 12.5. And the overall experience of using the phone has been greatly improved by the lower resource use of MIUI 12.5 in general. The animations seem better timed too (but this is just our subjective assessment), and everything is simply smoother than before, more buttery - better and faster, to be concise"

"Xiaomi's gesture navigation system remains among the best ones out there, we've had absolutely no issues with it whatsoever. It works very smoothly (and more so in MIUI 12.5), it's easy to get the hang of, and there isn't any weirdness anywhere with having to retrace your gesture or anything like that"

George399, 21 Jun 2022Buggy software no thanks.Yes! It's a big no. No matter how spec-monster these phones are, the quality of software will always hold 'em back.

Eric20, 21 Jun 2022I wish it had a flat screen. 🙄Yes. That's the only thing that keeps me away from these phones.

Really looking forward for Xiaomi 12 but with SD Gen 1+ chipset and Leica collaboration. Hopefully overheating and throttling issue isn't big anymore.
