1. Aren't the Apple watches, as good as they are, made yo work exclusively with Apple products?
2. Don't the Samsung watches work with Any phone, with the exception of the ECG portion of the health app (for which one must have the Samsung Health App)?
3. Did I misunderstand when I read that the watch face glass Has been upgraded to some sort of Sapphire glass which is supposedly more durable?
4. And hasn't the battery life been improved, advertised at 80Hrs (but, even at just 50hrs, it would be more than double my current watch, which doesn't even last the entire day)?
5. I agree. Losing the rotating bezel is a huge mistake; it's one of the things I like best about my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. And, it was also an error in judgement for Samsung to no longer make the Watch 5 Pro/Classic in the smaller size. Many people do not like humongous watches on their wrists.
And the prices are really getting way too high.
6. Any suggestions for a watch that might be comparable to the Watch Pro 4 but upgraded (ie, I guess other than a 5)? Thanks!

It seems that Watch 3 will be my last Samsung watch. In fact I was thinking of moving away from Samsung phones. There are much better choices out there.

lapax, 23 Jun 2022The Watch 7 has one of the worst battery life amongst smart... morecorrect.watch7 has a terrible batterylife but,it has very thin bezels and one of the most accurate sensors on the market. watch4 was far behind in terms of bezel and sensor performance. I am expecting gw5 to be more competitive with such improvements.

If the Watch5 isn't completely bezelless they won't sell any volume. They loose their loyal customers who want a physical rotating bezel and in return people only get big black borders without function. The virtual bezel sucks hard to be honest and the price is increased.
So who is supposed to buy this?

lapax, 23 Jun 2022The Watch 7 has one of the worst battery life amongst smart... moreMaybe so, but Apple Watches have one of best displays in terms of utilizing active and AOD displays that look exactly the same, just slightly dimmed. The performance has also been the smoothest for years and apps integrate between phone and watch the best I've seen. The amount of sensors they use for features surely has to eat quite some battery.
And Samsung started doing another annoying thing that is also annoying with Apple. To make good use of Galaxy Watch 4 or newer, you also need Samsung smartphone. Integration is probably better, but this greatly limits combinations of devices.

Having said that, the Samsung Watch 4 batteries are also nothing to boast about. They both need to do something drastic about it.

Based on my experience with the Galaxy Watch 4 LTE , the LTE version is not worth having in the UK as it is not possible to get a contract to connect this watch via LTE so don't spend your money on an option you won't be able to use.

galaxy watch5 is supposed to be a direct competitor to apple watch7.it definitely needs better battery life,thinner bezels and much more accurate HR and GPS sensors.
