Expect NOTHING ! This brand name is quite lame but at least they are honest. PLUS nothing (zero) is before ONE. Nothing Plus or Nothing minus could be also next possibilities. Maybe expect in the future ONEMINUS. All above puns are intended.

I see comments there people also like it. But don't think too much about this LED. They are definitely different for me and I love that every new brand comes into the mobile world.

Tbh, I'm using nothing launcher on my S21 Ultra since alpha release and it works and looks great. So my thoughts on this project is if they have managed to make 3rd party app to work great it must be way better as core. Also, if you remember Oneplus as startup it wasn't like they're now. It was running most famous Custom Rom at the time but Officially supported. I'm so sure that software will take main advantage over competition. Especially now, Carl is experienced but still excited and passionate about this. Otherwise he wouldn't leave that job, it wouldn't happen ever. And tbh while i don't consider design as most beautiful it has signature to it along with some added functionality. So many times i leave my phone on the table sitting on screen, now i would at least know what is going on, without chance that people around me know the same. Just a touch of convenience functionality and privacy over competitors. Nothing much but distinctive. And i guess much more is happening but not allowed to share yet.

Is that light really essential? I mean, can it improve something except for "differentiation"? I bet they will drop that thing in the next Nothing. I don't hate the brand, I even don't know this is hype but tbh this hype seems worthless especially with invitation unit. For Led Sony did it in 2012, Oppo did the same thing with Reno 7, Nokia cleverly did it with LED notification under the power key which I think elegant to look at.

Many of Sony Xperia phones in the past had that feature. I had a Xperia SP that had LED light bar at bottom and it was RGB too. It also did some tricks while using the phone

This, I see, is completely different from Oneplus in terms of OS, design, etc., but outside of the phone, yes, it still uses a marketing like OnePlus.
