Also the snapdragon seems to be easier to optimise for cameras (maybe because they have a lot of past experience with the chip). I've tried the k40s and k50 in China. Both use the same main camera with OIS (imx582). However the video quality is far better on the k40s with snapdragon 870. The k50 with Dimensity 8100 has very poor video quality. Maybe Xiaomi just needs more time to optimise it but their current optimisation of the imx582 with snapdragon 870 is much better than the same sensor with the dimensity 8100

And the quality is pretty good minus the deep black of amoled. I Will chosee the X4 gt over F4 anyday

X4 GT looks llike a better phone, but no amoled and ugly bezels. F4 however looks outdated with that chin, and really barely any upgrade over F3, doesnt seem worth it either.

Side mounted fingerprint sensor on f4 is pretty unacceptable considering its price of 28k. even its closest competitor iqoo neo 6 gives in display sensor

Anonymous, 23 Jun 2022Why the hell would they give a superior chipset to a cheape... moreBecause Xiaomi lets you pick between superior performance of D8100 and superior (albeit minor upgrade) camera thanks to F4's OIS primary cam. Plus, D8100 isn't that far off from SD870, so anyone who chose the latter won't feel too ripped off, if not because of the launch price.
At 399$/399€, F4 5G is an easy skip. Its fair value would be around 299-324$ for the 6/128 model making it 50$ more expensive than F3 street value. Even at 349 it's still a hard choice to make because if you can live with F3 or even X4 GT's weak points then you can save money and buy one of those instead

Then I went back with LCD (twice!) and I couldn't care any less about it now. I'd only care about OLED to be LTPO so it can scale refresh down to 1Hz for power saving reasons. And partially to have fingerprint scanner on the display which you can't with LCD. What this phone has, seems to be a very high end LCD display which can beat many cheap OLED displays hands down. I frankly wouldn' worry much about it being LCD.

It should've happened in reverse. F4 should've gotten the 8100 and the X4 GT should've gotten the 870.

TrinI, 23 Jun 2022X4 GT has headphone jack thats more than worth the price.Poco X4 GT is exciting because it brings Dimensity 8100 to the west. It's pretty damn capable chipset and phone has relatively normal price for a change at sub 450€. I'm far more excited about X4 GT model than with F4 GT model and its SD 8 Gen1. Hell, even regular F4 doesn't make much sense if you're looking at chipset only. F4 has SD870 which has mildly better single thread performance, but gets entirely obliterated by Dimensity 8100 in cheaper X4 GT when it comes to multithreaded stuff. LOL?
X4 GT is one of rare "cheap(er) and cheerful" phones I've seen in a while. I'm not exactly in market to buy new one, but m god I kinda want one. I always liked cheap and cheerful phones and haven't really seen one for years. Till now.
