    AnonD-1042738, 25 Jun 2022Proof that you don't need to change phones very frequently True but he did say it died real fast on battery. Id say that after 3-5 years changing the phone is reasonable more than that the phone just dies out plus it stops getting updates and such. Except iphone and oneplus and some other company that still does old updates.

          If only all iPhone users were like him who stuck with the most feature-rich model for years, then Apple might've not done any of the stupid things like the removal of headphone jack and a charger inside the box.

            BJR, 25 Jun 2022The last, no compromise iPhone. It indeed was a great phone.Yea it had everything for an iPhone, easy repairability especially without the waterproofing seal (iirc), headphone jack, the best iPhone form factor yet, a Metal back that some may still prefer, and it introduced massively faster speeds compared to its predecessor and its competition. I think this was Peak iPhone (without saying the newer ones are bad because I use a newer one, but the 6s was the best at its time and has some nice things even today)

                  I saw the tweet yesterday, smiled, and retweeted it. I'm more impressed that a rich actor like him decided to put up with the same iPhone for nearly 7 years. That's dedication, Cap! He stayed loyal to it like he did to Peggy Carter!

                  I'm actually inspired to follow Chris Evans' long usage for a phone. I'm thinking of sticking to my foldable flip phones for a good 5 years. That Flip 4 is tempting with the larger battery but I'm good with the flaws. Better for the Earth and for our bank accounts to only upgrade twice per decade.

                  Captain America is showing us the right way! Heck, Sharon Carter used an HTC One M7 in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and the year is supposed to be 2023, so she was using a 10-year-old phone. Nick Fury used it in the 2014 film.

                    The button is sort of still here with the SE. Not an actual press-able button but close enough. I'd miss the 3.5mm jack. Still rocking my iPhone 7. Had the battery replaced not long ago. iOS 15 is the last main OS on it as well. Remember the days of the iPhone 5s and below. After 18 months, the battery was dead.

                      AnonD-1042738, 25 Jun 2022Proof that you don't need to change phones very frequently He seemed to be having plenty of problems with it, so one could argue the opposite. Haha

                        He coult always have got the SE if he liked the shape and button so much. The 13 mini is a good choice.

                          The last iphone with an actual button too. After that it was just a touch sensor.
                          And last with the headphone port.

                              if you have low productivity, iPhone suits you.
                              it's optimized for less function.

                              iPhone iOS = low spec iPadOS
                              iPadOS = low spec MacOS
                              MacOS = full spec, support software + iPad iOS Apps.

                              waiting to see iPad Air M1 with Pencil support,
                              replace iPadOS to MacOS.
                              for maximum productivity.
