What is everyone talking about? 400$ is on par with what companies like Xiaomi, Honor, Motorola etc are charging for 778G devices.

Why would anyone choose this over a Pixel 6a with Tensor Gen 1 hardware that's as powerful as a Snapdragon 888, 5 guaranteed Android updates, spectacular Google cameras, and a $449 price tag?
They claimed to have intentions to "imitate Apple" but it seems that they will not even be able to step on Samsung's heels.

450 $ too much over priced, why will people purchase high midrange processor at this price range. It is a fake hype for this phone. If it's priced under 300 $ then people will consider this brand at this price range.

I wouldn't pay $400 - $500 for a phone with garbage spec and look very cheap like a $100 - $200 phone. So I believe the Nothing phone (1) belongs in the latrine 🤢🤮 just like all Oneplus and Motorola phones. They are much better option phones from much better OEMs to buy from so even if Nothing was to give me this piece of garbage I would still send it down the latrine or use it as a frisbee. That's the painful truth😂😊😇

I think this is amazing price.
Basically this is pixel 5 all over again. It's being trashed by people because the specs on paper are "meh" but those who will use it will be really satisfied with it.
I am sure battery life will be amazing since that chip is less power hungry and manufactured by tsmc.
You also have to understand that screen probably costed more since they wanted to make phone with symmetrical bezels.
These who are mentioning poco, yes poco is cheaper but also a gamble. Just go to twitter and see how many complaints there are. From lack of updates to phones dying for no reason. Not to mention bugs...
Like I said, this will be amazing all rounder. And I'm planning to get one.

Moto edge 30 with the same chipset and stockish Android sells for 29k. Considering this, the stated price of nothing is not out of the ball park. And with wireless charging plus those LEDs some increment is justified. But then you have the recently launched poco F4 with a faster but older chip selling for 27k which makes this look like expensive

As long as this phone's build quality and software experience live up to the hype, this should be a good starting point for Nothing. The $400-450 price bracket barely has any phones with a premium build, and the SD778 has done well in and around this segment too.
If I didn't play any mobile games, I'd spend that much for a well built and well executed midranger. Only time will tell though if it's manages to be either of the above.
