But if the battery IS made to be protected from charging speeds like this, it can last a lot longer. I'm obviously not going to say that a battery being blasted with 180W of power will last for years, and it may end up lasting a bit less longer than a normal battery with a slightly fast but not outrageous charging speed - but it won't end up dying in just a few months (unless the battery is defective).

I mean it shouldn't be bad if the battery doesn't go over 40c, which I'll bet it will

And again and again and again... another bullshit battery charging system that destroys the battery in a few months. No one, not even Chinese smartphone manufacturers, can outsmart the physics.
Heat development dramatically destroys the lifespan, the higher the charging power - the higher the heat development - the faster the death of the battery and thus also of the device, as the battery can no longer be replaced. It is as simple as that!
Not much marketing blah blah and propaganda about supposedly intelligent charging algorithms will help.
It is high time that EU officials put an end to this nonsense and issue appropriate regulations.

I need 180kW charging on my phone, in order to charge it in milliseconds and also reuse the cable from my electric car

"To ensure that the charging cable can handle the load, Thunder Charge will use a special encryption chip to verify the cable’s authenticity."

                      Ah yes, cable DRM.

many of us do not want to recharge at 120 180 or 500w just use decent processors in your phones and offer at least 3 years of software support

Are y'all ready for the insane power of a Helio G85 😂

Of course, a flagship device with Mediatek G series processor. Flagship indeed 👌

This is not enough at all, we should have been at 500W by now.

                                      Tech is progressing very slowly.
