Anonymous, 30 Jun 2022I think Apple might be able to work around the first patent... moreThat's not the way patents work. You can't just sidestep them by using something equivalent with a different name.

Well Apple should more often taste their own game as Apple often sue other companies for weirder reason not related to Apple company or their devices compare to those weird options... As any one remember Apple suing small food companies for using apple fruit in logos(not even bitten check fresh24 pl or Woolworths)? Or Apple trying to patent tap on the screen as ""zero-length swipe""
Or when they tried to say that "pod" was their trademark... or when they sue Amazon for using name.... app store.... or when they tried to say that galaxy s look like iPhone.... there are more of course like A LOT more so yeah. Apple would need more weird legal problems realted to weird patenst...

So, it seems to me the "Message to decline" thing is more of a plus and benefit bonus for getting something from Qualcomm.

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2022I think Apple might be able to work around the first patent... moreThen Apple users sure won't be able to survive working under people like me who use basic 4G phones (feature phone) for work.

I think Apple might be able to work around the first patent by simply not transferring the message over SMS and use iMessage
