I've been paying in the car via Android Auto for years, it really saves time. Unfortunately, only a few gas stations in Germany support this.

Some gas pumps even have card terminal right on it and you can fill the car and pay with card without interacting with station clerk. We even have some entirely self service without any humans around.

But only as long as you keep paying for a new device, and do not repair it with cheaper screens and batteries from other manufacturer.
