    The other versions shouldn't even exist or should both co exist but both be flagships make the hardware specs the same but 2 design choices

    Also I think if we do have 2 versions
    No hole punch bs please ASU
    Big Bezels version with home bottom or all screen version with flip pop up camera

      When is this going to be officially announced? I'm eagerly waiting for it...

        Xperia 5 III is just better in every aspect except it is bit older, and not present in some markets.

          Let's see the screen to body ratio i think to fit 4300 mAh battery the phone may be chunky monster 9mm and they fit 5.9 inch screen in 6.2 inch front. May be phone will be ugly with big bezel at the bottom

            jamalu96, 09 Jul 2022since 90%+ smartphones are more than 6.5 inches.These days 6" or 6.1" is considered compact. We're closing in to almost 7" on some devices which is literally tablet territory. We used to sell 7" tablets in the past...

                      LEEDAQ, 08 Jul 2022since when 5.9inch display was compact?It is man. Compared to others in the market and the fact that aspect ratios have changed from 16:9 and that would have made this phone huge

                        Will be interesting to see how well implemented the FP reader is and the scroll button feature. The optical screen reader in the Z8 has been a bit hit and miss, I've had 3 Zenfone 8s and 2 of them had terrible readers. My current one works a charm though, maybe I got lucky or they improved it.

                                  Those camera modules are HUGE! That said, I'm really impressed to see the Zenfone 9 will have a bigger battery than the Zenfone 8 while keeping the same 5.9" 20:9 screen. Take note, Samsung.

                                        LEEDAQ, 08 Jul 2022since when 5.9inch display was compact?Look at the physical dimensions of Zenfone 8(5,9" 20:9") 148 x 68.5 x 8.9 vs Samsung S4 (5.0" 16:9) 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9.
                                        The Zenfone 8 is longer due to the new aspect ratio, but it's less wide which is the key metric for how compact it feels. You cannot just look at the screen size and judge the compactness due to new aspect ratios. When CRT tvs went from 4:3 to 16:9, many felt 32" was super big Vs their old 28", but it was more or less same viewable area if you went 16:9 28" your screen size went was equal to 25" 4:3.
