LEEDAQ, 08 Jul 2022since when 5.9inch display was compact?It is very compact, in fact iPhone mini was too small, might be super compact but rather useless at the same time. 5.8-6.1” is sweet spot.

Cero, 08 Jul 2022Hope they make a Pro version with 6.1" ratio 20:9 It is not likely to happen as it implies a really small change in the size and it would not stand out too much compared to the regular model. A 6 inch with 19:9 or 19.5:9 aspect ratio would have been perfect for this (and any other compact contender) phone, as it enables the possibility of making it less tall and a little bit wider without being too wide, as its diagonal is not that big

What will be the price if it's lauched in india. My estimate would be around 30-35k. Where it could compete directly iqoo and other brands.

I wasn't crazy about the 8's switch to optical FPS, so I'm happy to see a side mount one. I hadbthe Sony Xperia 1 with side mount though, and that thing was horrible. I am slightly apprehensive, but optical is still the worst choice out there.

All the people I know with iPhones (being colleagues, friends or relatives) don't have iPhones older than 3 years. Minimum/lowest iPhone someone has, is iPhone 11.
So, this thing with people having iPhone for 5 years is not true. And the people who actually tend to keep their phones for more than 3 years don't care if it's iPhone or Android, because they don't care about software updates and so on. They are your so called non tech users.
Arena should make a statistic regarding the iPhone users. And I am pretty sure the statistic will be like I said. Something like: "How old is your iPhone?" or "How frequently you change your iPhone?".
This 5 years update policy is just for people like you to brag about on internet. In real life scenarios, is rarely used. And that's because nowadays even iPhones tend to not be like in their first 1-2 years forever.
How many iPhone users do you know who still have an iPhone X for example? That will be 5 years old this autumn. I don't know any iPhone users who still uses that model. Even though 3 years ago, almost all had one.

When that gets sorted, like by buying a proper phone like Samsung and you get that or by going with Apple. It'll soon be 4 years and I'm still holding on to it. I wonder why... plus, every fall of any year is like Christmas when we get new iOS. It may not be anything dramatic, but it's always just enough of cool new stuff that you keep the device. If it has no technical issues, I see no reason why not to. Most people replace them because they get bored and that happens because they don't get any updates for them.

I'm just posting this here since it looks like nobody noticed (or at least nobody talks about it) : Asus also revealed the presentation date of the device, 28th of July, when presenting ZenTouch.
So for those waiting for this phone : only 20 days to go !

Flatscreen, headphone jack and 512gb with Dual Sim would be great. If it would add Stylus support I would be in heaven...
