Those who have used the iPhone will know, but the most important thing for Apple is the weight of the iPhone.
I don't know why, but the weight of the iPhone feels heavier than other Android smartphones with the same weight and it makes me tired.

[deleted post]Overpriced? By your definition? Oh you looked at the spec sheet (like everyone else here) and declared it overpriced because it doesn't have the biggest numbers on paper. Just for the fact software support is just sublime I'd gladly pay again 900€ for it. Paying 900€ for Xiaomi on the other hand, I don't care how amazing its specs are, their software support is legendary bad I'd never pay this much for any their phone, let alone ridiculous 1200€ for Ultra models that get even worse software support than the rest of their phones. So, see, there are different definitions of "overpriced". Lets not forget no iPhone with exception of SE is bad at anything. They are always very good at basically everything. Even battery is never terrible, it's just average in worst case.

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2022While I agree a lot of Chinese manufacturers just put a com... moreThe magic words there are ‘Apple markets….’ would you have Apple announce new products with such lines as ‘our glass is tough, but no tougher than the rest really’ and ‘our os is secure, but only slightly more secure than the competition overall’ ?
Don’t blame Apple for wanting to hype a product, it’s kind of a long running standard business practice, one neither created nor monopolised by Apple, maybe perhaps perfected by them though 🤔.
Anyway, as as consumer you get to decide how much of that marketing you want to buy into, but there is a reason you don’t see any companies who’s marketing departments operate on the philosophy of ‘let’s be brutally honest about our stuff’.
As for Apple not changing up the iPhone design much, well they have already hit on a winning formula as evidenced by the sales performance. Why rock the boat so to speak or fix what ain’t broke. Frequent change just for changes sake is not innovation, nor a wise business strategy for a product that performs so consistently well as the iPhone. And don’t forget Apple does not have to compete with anyone else for iOS market share, unlike Android oem’s who not only are chasing the kind of sales performance the iPhone enjoys, but also out do all the other Android oem’s at the same time.
So maybe there is a certain desperate logic to all the randomness that is all to common in the Android world. As an Android oem hoping to build market share, you have to be seen to be throwing ever more stuff at the wall, and certainly more than the other guy, just to see what sticks and thus woo costumers.
The end result of this though is saturated, and over complicated product lines that appear to shuffle through specs and features like a deck of cards.

DaFink, 09 Jul 2022You know what I like best watching the 500 or more Android ... moreWhile I agree a lot of Chinese manufacturers just put a completely redesigned setup every year, which is just silly, they also keep introducing new designs and build materials and that's appreciated. But with apple on the other hand, just the same old story every year, a glass sandwich with same looking camera setup and even the colours for most part. They don't even change the build materials like add a leather back or something. Yes the frame is steel now but that hardly changes anything. It's overall the same look and when they keep repeating it every year, that's what makes the iPhones boring to look at
And coming to many useless cameras on Android phones, it's true they do that but then, which company doesn't resort to gimmicks to sell phones ? Apple heavily markets their iOS as one made for privacy but yet cyber attacks are seen on Android as well as iOS. It's not as safe as they make it look like. Also, apple markets their ceramic glass as best in industry but that's once again just a gimmick. It breaks just like any other glass. iPhone 14 doesn't even have high refresh rate or always on display even apple could've easily given that but it's all about the money perhaps.
That being said, the iPhone is good but not as good as what they claim it to be

that's why iPhone user bought and change phone only after it dies -
