Funny things started to happen on Twitter like, some politicians losing followers and others gaining hundreds of thousands over night. The people at Twitter are dumb, because now they will have to prove that they didn't lie to Musk.

They only have to prove that the data they provided is the data Elon asked for. Elon wanting to change the metrics and value after the agreed sale is absolutely irrelevant. In my eyes, this can get a lot more expensive than the 1bn dollar bailout fee in the sales agreement, as Elon appears to have deliberately tanked Twitter's market value with lies.

Half the world would love to see Twitter going down. And he should counter sue them for lying and forging documents. And Twitter shares will tank 30-50% if it loses the lawsuits against him.

Musk is an idiot. He had a great vision for the future, but somewhere along the line of getting there he's lost it completely.

960, 11 Jul 2022This is what happens when you do things for attention. While Musk and team probably should have investigated the claims from Twitter about active/real users, they didn't legally have to since it was included in the signed deal about acquiring the company.
Now Twitter just has to prove that they aren't misleading him about the users, and it really is less than 5% or whatever. If that turns out to be proven in court, then Musk wouldn't really oppose buying the company... So I don't see the problem here other than Twitter being the side that is "trying to back out" in a sense.
