While the US isn't the center of the universe, neither is your selfish unempatheic thought process. Also, I didn't even say the US. I said all bands so EVERYONE can use it. Stop being so self-centered.

And sure, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 then. Sheesh.

USA is not center of Universe. This costs money. Why would a company spend money because of a market they do not even work there?

Dimensity 8100 does not support QHD@144 screen by the way.

I tried to give this phone a chance. I really did. I overlooked the screen and spec selection.
But now it looks like people are already reporting issues with screen tinting and ghosting on reddit. Had to cancel my order this morning. It's just sad, this had great potential.
Maybe we should be looking at opening patents to the public for products that don't make the cut.

Here the question is not about cost, features or functions, but the discrimination faced by one section of the country vs the other (South vs North). All this publicity for a mediocre phone with some flashy lights, thanks but I'll pass on this :)

Imagine a 6.2" 16:9 aspect ratio, 2K@144Hz, REMOVABLE 5,000mAH battery (with a ZeroLemon partnership to add an 8,000 and 10,000mAH battery respectively), headphone jack with Cirrus DAC, front facing stereo speakers with moderate bezels to accommodate dual selfie with advanced facial recognition sensors, physical fingerprint reader on the side, triple focal camera in the back with OIS, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 or Dimensity 8100, MIL-STG-G rating, IP67, IR blaster, and all the possible bands for about $750 with 8GB RAM/256GB storage with microSD dedicated slot. A simple mid-ranger with enough power and perfect for audiophiles. I'd love to make something like that

The costs come down after bulk purchases of various parts and then there's assembly and software etc. Too much of a hassle actually

You have to know people at the top to get it done. I may try again but not any time soon.

IF they remove the light, keep it transparent, make it compact, and keep the price. Im sure more people will buy it. And they'll get more profit.

There's a lot more R&D in the Nothing Phone, it's not just a copy of another brand. Although it lacks the flagship chipset and pricing to compete against the 32 other phones with the same 778G from more established brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola and more. It does promise a more stock experience, which is unlikely to change.

It may not be for everyone, but all least Nothing is trying to bring what they believe is a worthy device to a highly competitive market.
