Watch only works when plugged in to the charging dock , when the charging dock removes the watch switching off automatically.

        It does have a mic (it supports Amazon Alexa)
        but it doesn't have a speaker.

          These watches are meant to be worn 24/7. Do you really want a mic that could potentially be used to listen to your conversation irrespective of your position in society?

          I agree NFC is useful in many cases.
