Which every phone for ... moreXiaomi 12 or oppo find X5, Got my new X5 for £440 and it absolutely destroys the nothing phone in basically every aspect (120hz 10 bit panel, Dolby Atmos speakers, metal build with one of the nicest backs to look/hold, Snapdragon 888 with better NPU and custom photography chip and far far better charging).
Or Poco f4/f4 GT, cheaper with metal body, glass, ip53, better SoC, probably better battery, software support we'll have to wait and see if nothing last longer than a year or 2.
ZTE Nubia Z40 pro/ z40s pro, again metal body, top end SoC, 10 bit panels with better cameras for under 500.
Another phone is the Xiaomi 11t pro (came out end of 2021 like iPhone 13 and pixel so is definitely under "current phone"), under 400 for a 10 bit panel with Dolby vision, got metal build, far better SoC, far better charging and better main camera.
This is just a few new phones from flagship to mid range, I could give you a load of older devices and few more 2022 devices if you'd like? Multiple people have done before on multiple posts already.

I remember a time back in the old 2018 where you could buy a flagship (Mi 8) for less than 400€. Now you can buy Nothing for almost 500€.

Every argument i ... moreif i want clean android experience, i can just throw lineage os or some google-less ROMs. or i can just buy a huawei. also what they compare is the price. this phone is way too overpriced for a midrange. so they compare a xiaomi and samsungs to this.

but the essential phone looks a bit generic but it was a flagship at its time.

Nice design and very cool LED lights on the back but is currently not worth buying because of the issues this phone has (water in the back panel, display issues)
The S20 FE with snapdragon 865 looks a better phone at same price available to buy on this prime day. It also has IP 68 rating so I will buy that one probably

The Flip, 20 Jul 2022I'm NOT rooting for this company to fail like most hat... moreback screen is practically useless gimmick, just like Nothing back LED notification. You already have main screen, why even you need second screen when you can just flip your phone and see the main screen?

People don't realise it's not trying to be the best with hardware.
Over 500 people worked on optimising this phone . 500 people in the same time on 1 phone , that uses close to stock software .
I expect this phone to have great battery life , great camera and better performance than other 778g smartphones simply because it's a more optimised than other phones with the same components.

Please include comparison Galaxy S20 FE 5G because in india both are almost same price ₹35k and specs also like wireless charging etc

Every argument i see against the phone is not a real one it's incredible...
i'm not giving my opinion on the phone, but guys reading you is soooo painful.
IP68 : who cares ?? the phone is probably waterproof anyway, just the certification hasn't been done to save cost -> aka not a big deal.
Comparing Nothing to other top tier phone is a non sense, i can't even understand people are so dumb to do so...
Comparing Nothing to Samsung a series will Samsung is here since 20+ years and sells millions of phone, thus can drop down the price...
Nothing compared to any midranger other than xiaomi and samsung (that sells millions phones each year) is better period... SoC is tuned and has better performance than other midranger, design that stand out. and a CLEAAAANNNN android experience ! that NO ONE have in the space expect google it self.
and this is just objective facts...
Yes screen has problem, camera is average but can be improved via software update. And people complaining about 3 yr OS and 4 years security update is just... idk, please use your brain cause right now i can feel that 60% of the people commmenting have 2 digits IQ
