If they don't get this one right they will never sell anymore again. They need long battery life and a flush camera that is actually decent just take the camera off the oppo Reno 2!!!

I just read another report that said it will be introduced August 2nd. It's been about 2 years since the last one so Moto can resent the cycle but I'm not sure releasing it a week before the Flip is a good idea.

Razr 2022 basically copied the Flip series in design by removing the iconic RAZR chin. But once the Flip gets a cover display as big as the Razr's, the Flip will start looking like the Razr.
All form factors will start looking the same.

Honestly if they were clever they would focus on price and affordability rather then high end specs like you´ve mentioned. Those after that will probably choose the Samsung.
They could make a difference with a smaller price and efficient chipset. I´m not interested in power specs, i look for functionality and the snapdragon 7 gen 1 is more than capable specially if we take in to account those small batteries inside.
There so many other ways to to fight samsung and others, you just need to be clever on your approach to the customer

The poor choice here is Snapdragon 8 gen 1, a battery eater. I´d rather have a more power efficient chipset.

Folding smartphones are, of course, Samsung's monopolistic market.
The flip style was challenged by Motorola or Huawei, but it actually failed, and the large fold is rarely sold outside of China.

The delay is going to kill their already small market share. My Rarz 5g still waiting for the Android 12 update since the announcement early this year. Seriously considering switching to Samsung fold.

With the leaks so far, I don't know what to think of it. It's lacking the RAZR DNA. Without that, the Galaxy Flip is the better choice. The first 2019 RAZR fold was a design masterpiece, absolutely retro but overall not a very good phone. But let's wait first till it's announced to get judgemental.

Hope they add more cameras at rhe back and keep the price lower. And updates. Without these they shouldn't target a launch.

Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if Motorola cancels its release. The Samsung foldables are going to slay it in sales once again. The Razr has no real differentiator other than having a bigger cover display. No Flex mode. Motorola's software support is atrocious. Cameras will probably worse on it knowing Motorola's camera reputation.
Lenovo turned the Razr 2022 into a Chinese clone of the Flip 3 & 4. Turned the Razr into a ugly device. My Razr 5G still doesn't have Android 12 and it's starting to make loud popping or snapping sounds like it's going to break off. It's annoying but the sound can get pretty loud like if you are snapping your knuckles.
I'm using my iPhone SE (2016) and BlackBerry Bold 9900 today and it's actually quite refreshing using phones this small again. My BlackBerry acts more of an iPod. We had it better a decade ago. I'm in anti-social media mode and I like to restrict myself from all the online distractions and mindless scrolling. Want to be out of the endless loop.
