Anonymous, 10 Feb 2013Try the Samsung Galaxy Note II or the Motorola Razr HD Maxx.Note 2 have more battery capacity than Z, but its ugly design and build quality.
Motorola Razr Maxx also have more battery capacity but just buttery, not other aspect like camera, video, design, build quality, screen, hardware spesification and other.
and both lack dust and water resistant.
Buy a flagship phone is not only good at one aspect but all aspect.
Its nothing if has a good buttery but doesn't has other important aspect above.
Think again...

Lots of things look good on paper...My major concerns are call quality, bluetooth, screen toughness, and high megapixel camera. Some of the very top phones fall down in these requirements. I am a fan of the specs of the xperia z but it could disappoint me In Real Life. I'm hoping no, but you never know.

Samy Fans always says that xperia Z's battery is not enought. hahhahaha...its funny.
Look at other flagship like SGS3, iPhone 5, Butterfly, DNA, Blackberry Z10, Optimus G, nexus 4 and L920. how much battery they have?
With 2330 MAh, xperia z beats all flagships above...
its a fact.

Anonymous, 09 Feb 2013Sony is getting better, but its still miles behind Samsung.... moreSo a phone that has higher specs, a better camera, arguably better looks, one of the best displays on the market, and is made with fantastic (waterproof) build quality is way behind? Wowser, don't want to see what they will have to do to pull ahead..

Like in every domaine, some ppl are wasting their money on things they will never enjoy. They should not listen to reviews / reviewers and just go out and buy what they think is best for them...
Just a few tips to them (i only read a few posts..) :
-Try to disable auto-brightness and change your display mode for colors in parameters menu if you can see well dark scenes (even if i never noticed that, best blacks reproducted on mobiles but figures..)
-You can disable S-Voice (and so the "messed-up" home button) in parameters menu again, just like a computer, learn how to use it.
-If UI is too heavy / complicated for you, one more time again : parameters menu, you can change it to some "easy home"... for people who doesn't like to read more than 3 lines..
-For "pressing accidentally during 10sec a power button".... It's a bit embarrassing sentence, isn't it?
Just my 2cents.

Almost regretting pre-ordering it but I want a taste of 443 ppi and the aesthetic beauty of this upcoming beast.

Anonymous, 09 Feb 2013Do you always carry a spare battery for your phone? I think... moreAnonymous m7KR, tell us, please: why in the world did you get the Samsung Galaxy Note II? We have been hearing your endless complaints about how terrible it is. Did you not research all the specifications of what you were getting before you spent on that "crap"?
Let see the things you said:
"1. Low PPI display" - not this again! We the resolution is absurdly dense as it is for most premium devices. Even the next Note is rumored to be 1080p. Beyond 240ppi is already fine to the naked eye.
"2. Power button is too soft" - then stop touching it! Since almost all get cases for protection, get a case with a thicker bumper.
"3. UI is heavy and hard to navigate, important features are left out and useless gimmicks are included" - OMG. You just need to get a great other launcher. This is Android, not iOS. Some even has multiple gesture launchers by just flicking. TW is the most basic interface for any basic user.
"4. S-Voice is utterly stupid and does not work" - who in their right mind uses this in public? This is brought about with Siri, so again, this is not iOS for lazy people. Samsung just had to come up with something to compete and I found it silly to be talking to find out stuff. I'd rather type it out.
"Have a look at UI videos of Xperia V, see how a dual core on ICS outperforms TouchWiz performance in Jelly Bean, very convincing" - Get a darn premium free launcher
"And, i had Xperia Pro before i got the Note 2, i miss the Pro, so efficient and clean UI" - why did you leave it in the first place? Peer pressure?
"Samsung call it touchwiz but Sony is the one with the added touch. Faster and better than Samsung with a build quality that exceeds iphone, the Z is perfect" - How do you know? Did you test it like you tested the Note II before you get it? Never buy till you fully know everything there is to know about any product is the most sensible thing to do.
And you haven't answered - how can any of Sony's smartphones best the Note II's battery stamina? You just like the looks and the performance rate? Current Sony smartphones are notoriously low to power their units for an entire day that you need to plug in half way. This is a deal breaker. We will see if the Z would surprise me.

S4 should be aborted. They should change the design before releasing it to the market.
