Still same ~700 charge cycles, same heat degradation issues, same deep discharge degradation issues, same degradation if constantly at 100%. People probably just notice it less because phones are disposable and people apparently don't have them for long enough to notice it. With exception of iPhone users who tend to hold on to phone for longer on average and then you start seeing these issues. If you don't use phone for more than 2 years, chances are you won't really notice it much.

Anonymous, 23 Jul 2022It's Apple, they could sell ice to eskimos but I still... moreExactly. If everything is the same, then what is different this year iPhone will bring ? Same old stuff again. Apple doesn't even want to give AOD or higher refresh rate on iPhone 13. Maybe the Pro models will have any change because they have to, but as much as possible they'll stick to old specs on base variant. The funniest thing is, that people will still buy haha. It's weird

Anonymous, 23 Jul 20223rd party manufacturing is cheaper than having own factory.... moreMost of the materials needed to make these shiny bling blings come from China. Just a word from their govt and they can cutoff the supplies for outside corporations.
And lol at worker protections part of your comment. Apple and others go where they can find cheap labor for more gains. Otherwise, they'd do a Fairphone and try to obtain as much conflict-free resources as they can.

Since Apple is so rich, any company wants to have Apple as client and will accept whatever Apple says to avoid losing huge fat contract.
Imagine how long and how expensive would be making a factory big enough to assemble all Apple products.
Blame many governments in Asia for lack of proper laws to protect workers from being underpaid and overworking (none should work 12-16h daily).
This is why so many big corporations go to China and Southeast Asia.

TypeC cable and no more stupid lightning. Also it would be great if they added an on screen fingerprint senser and ideally keep faceID.
